[CHAPTER EIGHTEEN]

BY SUPPORTING GRYFFINDOR, Odette was supporting Lola. She wasn't supporting Gryffindor for the same reasons her friends were, not that they weren't supporting Lola. However, it seemed they would support any house as long as it wasn't Slytherin. From what Odette could tell, the only ones supporting Slytherin were Slytherin themselves. There was a few exceptions, but there wasn't many.

However, Odette barely paid any attention to the match. She could hear the distant cheers or yells and the commenter announcing what's happening. However, none of that really went in one ear and stayed. It all just went in one way and out the other. Her mind was just fixated on Xia's odd behaviour from earlier.

The odd cheek touching and the words Xia told her: "I found you." It all just sent shivers down Odette's spine.

At some point during the match, Odette just couldn't stand the crowded stands and yells. She grabbed Mei's sleeve and leaned over to whisper that she was going to the bathroom. Mei nodded with a concerned look, she must have noticed that Odette was acting funny the entire time. She apologized as she pushed past other students. She hurried to the nearest bathroom and walked over to the sink. She turned the faucet on and splashed her face with cold water.

She didn't say anything as she leaned against the cool wall. She paid no mind to the water that slid down her face and onto the red jumper that Lola gave her that morning. She would have to apologize later to her.

Odette didn't know what to do if she was being honest. Her thoughts were eating her up, draining everything she was. However, she was scared that she would be labeled crazy by those that took her in. It's bad enough that they think she's sick or something. She could find no explanation for Xia's behaviour, unless it was some sort of prank. In that case, Odette didn't find it funny at all. However, she couldn't stop thinking about Xia's eyes.

They looked like Xia's eyes one moment but looked totally different the next. Odette found herself very uneasy around Xia. She knew it probably wasn't the girl's fault, but the words came out of her.

By the time Odette managed to get herself to leave the bathroom, the match was over. The Xun sisters weren't near each other, which Odette realized was pretty common. She doubted any of the Xun sisters were close friends during school, even when Hua was still a student.

She approached Mei as not only would there be more conversation, but she wasn't sure how she could look at Xia and act normal.

"Odette! You missed the best part!" exclaimed Aditi, "The new Gryffindor beater lost control of their bat and the bat hit the Gryffindor keeper in the head! Unfortunately, Gryffindor lost by twenty points I think."

"So, what did you think of your first Quidditch match here at Hogwarts?" asked Olivia Mae.

"Um, it was nice," said Odette, though she had no idea what happened at all.

"Did you pay attention to anything at all?" said Olivia Mae.

"I — Yes!" said Odette, "I did, but then I got a really bad stomachache and I had to leave."

"It wasn't a nice match anyway," said Mei, "The Gryffindor seeker fell off his broom and then Lola dropped the Quaffle when she went to catch him."

"Oh no! How did he fall off his broom?" asked Odette, her eyes wide.

"He was obviously pushed," said Aditi.

"Pushed? Who would want to push him off his broom?"

Aditi gave her an incredulous look, "The entire Slytherin team, Odette!"
