[CHAPTER FORTY-TWO]

"HAVE YOU — OH, ODETTE," said Olivia Mae as she stepped into the dorm room an hour later. Odette barely got a few minutes of sleep before Mei kicked her off the bed. Odette looked up from the book on her lap and nodded.

"She's still sleeping? How late did she stay up, bloody hell," said Olivia Mae as she fell back on her bed. "Well, I don't blame her. Today has been awfully slow."

Odette didn't respond, which caused Olivia Mae to frown.

"Odette? Have you seen Emma?"

"Mayabe around an hour ago," shrugged Odette.

"An hour ago? What was she doing?"

Odette didn't respond for a couple of seconds. She looked up from her book, "Why do you want to know?"

"You haven't heard?" said Olivia Mae, "Well, I suppose you wouldn't if you were cooped up in here with Mei. I barely found out half an hour ago."

Olivia Mae slipped off her shoes and started to massage her feet, "These shoes are killing me!"

Olivia Mae looked back at Odette, who hadn't moved from her spot on the floor. "Chloe has been caught stealing."

Odette's heart almost dropped into her stomach at the sound the 5r news, "What? Chloe? She couldn't —"

"She could and she did," said Olivia Mae, "She was caught red handed by Emma."

"What was she stealing?"

"I'm not too sure, but people have been saying that it's secret information. Rumours are saying that she tried to steal the information for death eaters. I, personally, think it's not too far off."

Odette never really spoke to Chloe very often, but she found it hard to wrap her head around the fact that she would do such a thing.

"Believe what you want," said Odette, "I'll find a —"

"I don't think she was stealing for the death eaters as much as I think she was stealing for her parents."

"What?"

"I've only met Chloe's parents once. They're not pleasant people —"

Odette snatched a pillow from Mei's bed and chucked it at Olivia Mae's face. Olivia Mae stopped talking and stared at Odette in surprise. Suddenly, Olivia Mae's eyes flickered over to something behind Odette. Odette went to follow her gaze before she was jumped on by Mei. Odette let out a shriek as she fell onto the ground.

"Don't steal my pillows!" shouted Mei as they wrestled on the ground.

"How'd you know it was me?!"

"Why would Olivia Mae throw a pillow at herself?!"

"How long have you been awake?"

"Long enough to know you stole my pillow to stop Olivia Mae from talking, which by the way was rude. I wanted to hear her finish talking."

"Can you. . .get off me and . . .stay off!" yelled Odette as she struggled to push Mei off  of her.

"Will you stop stealing my pillows?"

"I only took your pillow once!"

"So, you admit you steal my pillows?"

"I stole a pillow! Note the singular form!"

"I'm pretty sure I heard an s after that pillow."

"A pillow!"

"Get off her already, Mei," said Olivia Mae, "Or else you're going to suffocate her under all that weight."
