Hayes' POV

If he hits on her one more time, things are not going to end out well. I've been getting tired of him lately. He's been all about girls. Sydney was not available, well I mean she was, but she wouldn't be soon... Hopefully. But she's not available for him. No one should actually get with him, he's a player, big time.

I used to be like that. I feel terrible about it, but I was. I dated a lot of girls, I treated them well, but I dated a lot of girls. The "fame" got to me. I still don't refer to myself as famous, but everybody else does, so I just go along with it. All of these girls were hitting on me and I took advantage of it. I'm really happy I'm not like that anymore, people treat me differently. Guys don't hate me and girls treat me like more of a friend than something to get them noticed.

Sydney was talking to the rest of the team. They were asking her about her position she played where she lived before.

"I've seen her trophies, she seems okay," I said to them.

"You're really cheesy, you know that?" She said and the whole team laughed.

She was good with other people, better than I was at making jokes and talking to strangers.

School was starting in a week. I was not looking forward to getting up in the morning, I am not a morning person. Skylynn usually runs in and jumps on my bed to wake me up. Nash is doing online school, so it's easier for him. I didn't talk to many people at my school. I had a few friends that I hung out with a lot, but not many. I like that now it's been a while, no one treats me differently anymore. I want to be normal, aside from meeting my fans.

Sydney was in a lot of advanced classes. She was in Biology, Algebra 1, and Spanish 1, which were all Freshman classes. I took Algebra, but not Biology or Spanish. We had PE and English together, and the same lunch period.

Days Later

She was coming over for a picnic today. I joked around with her by roping her pizza up to her and said, "Margarita pizza, just the way you like it," quoting Troy from High School Musical because I know she watches it at least once a month. We both laughed and she came out the front door with the pizza. We went over to my house and through the kitchen to get to the backyard where our huge tree is. Once we stepped foot in the house Nash acted all proper and held the door for her.

"My lady right this way," he said in a corny accent.

"Nash, I know how to get to the backyard," she said and we all laughed.

Skylynn ran in, "Sydney, you're my favorite princess, did you know that?"

"Aw, thanks Sky." She pulled her into a hug.

"Every princess needs a crown. STAY THERE." Skylynn said running up the stairs to her room. She came back down and said while catching her breath, "Get down on your knees."

Nash, Sydney and I all chuckled as Skylynn put the plastic tiara on her head.

"There now you can be Hayes' princess, but I don't have a crown for Hayes because he's a boy."

"Why thank you Skylynn, if you want, you can be princess sometime too."

"Me? Okay!"

Sydney and I finished walking through the kitchen as Nash joked and said, "Have a nice picnic... your highness."

She gave him a look as I shut the door behind her and Nash winked at me. He knew this was the time I wanted to ask her out, but how was I going to do it?
