*Currently in homeroom and I'm very bored.*
Hayes' POV
Well I got that off my chest. Wow, she was my girlfriend. I'm glad I waited to ask her. She's not like other girls that just want to jump into a relationship. Is that what this was? A relationship? That sounds too serious. We were close, and I cared for her, but I don't know the last time I was in a relationship. That sounds mature and for adults, we're going out. There, going out, that sounds better.
Sky came in, "Syd, since Hayes is your boyfriend now, is he your prince?'
She picked her up and sat her on the counter-top in front of her, "I guess it does Skylynn."
Nash snickered while making the Ramen Noodles, "Hayes? A prince? Never going to happen."
Skylynn grabbed Sydney's phone and started taking pictures of herself, "Sydney, get in one, we can take a princess selfie!" Sydney smiled and held her tiara as Sky made a funny face.
"I'm gonna post that Sky!"
Nash laughed, "Wow Sydney, you're going to use my little sister for likes, that's low."
"Shut up Nash, we all know she likes me better."
"Uhm, yeah Nash," she said with a sarcastic tone.
Nash strained the Ramen Noodles, "Hey prince boy, what's up with you, why aren't you talking?"
I looked at him, "No reason. I guess I just don't know what to say."
Nash looked at Sydney, "Aw, look Syd you made him speechless."
She looked at all of us and smiled, "How about we play hide and go seek?"
"I'M ON SYDNEY'S TEAM." Skylynn demanded, "Hayes and Nash, you go count, we'll hide."
They ran out.
"Hey kid, what's up with you?"
"Nothing, it's just now that I'm her... boyfriend... I feel like I have to live up to all of these expectations. I feel like everything I do has to be perfect."
Nash put his arm around me, "Hey, things were going fine before, they're going to be fine now. If she liked you enough to say yes, you'll be okay. I can tell she likes you, and the whole family likes her. Calm down."
We finished our game of hide and seek, and my mom kept yelling for me to go inside and take a shower because I had school in the morning and I needed to look presentable.
I was sitting out in the front yard with Sydney when I heard my mom yell, "Benjamin Hayes Grier, get in here right now!"
Sydney giggled, "Benjamin?"
"We don't talk about it."
She said bye and left as I went inside the house to get ready for school in the morning. I'm probably going to get no sleep, but I never do. Sky had already taken her shower and was getting put to bed by Johnnie. Mom was down in the living room watching Once Upon A Time, it was her Sunday night tradition. She makes a bag of popcorn then says she wants the TV to herself.
I had spent about a half an hour (I didn't even realize it was the long) on twitter before I finally went to get in the shower. By now it was around 10:30. Yep, no sleep it was.
I got a text from Sydney: Hey you, I have a feeling you're awake, go to sleep! We have school tomorrow! Haha night.
I responded: Well you were right about me being awake. Night Syd.
I got out of the shower about 10:45, and didn't get to sleep until about midnight. Oh well, 6 hours of sleep works for me.
*Sorry for the short chapter! I'll try to make them longer once they start school! -Ivy*
