When I woke up, I was sure that everything, which had happened a few hours earlier had all been a dream, but the naked body next to me surely told me otherwise. A smile crept over my lips knowing I had finally done it with him and that it had been nothing like I feared it would be. Justin was a dick taking advantage of my young self, but fortunately Harry was nothing like him.
My stomach started growling, and I looked up at Harry hoping he hadn't heard. I had no idea how we had both gotten so tired but we had both fallen asleep before 5pm and the time on my phone now read 8:17pm. I tried to get out of bed wanting to make some food for us, but I was held down by Harry's arm around my waist.
Carefully, I tried to remove Harry's arm, but I didn't have any luck, and it only ended up tightening around me even further. "Trying to escape, love?" Harry chuckled with closed eyes, and my mouth feel open surprised he was awake.
"I thought you were asleep," I mumbled, and he opened his eyes to look at me.
"So you were going to slip out of bed leaving me here alone as if nothing happened? I really didn't think you were that kind of person," he chuckled, and I hit his chest playfully.
"And where would I leave to? This is after all my place."
"Point taken. So where are you going?"
"Thought I'd make us dinner."
"You don't have to, we should just order take-out."
"You don't have to do that," I said and saw him reach for his phone.
"Of course I do. I'd much rather spend time with my girl in bed, if that's okay with you?" He wiggled his eyebrows.
"I like the sound of that," I told him pecking his lips.
"So what food would you like?"
"Surprise me," I told him with a smile while staring at him.
He looked down at me and ran a finger through my hair.
"What?" I questioned. Because of the look he was giving me I knew something was on his mind.
"I believe you have gotten prettier."
"Stop it," I said looking down.
"I'm serious. You look happier than I think I've ever seen you, and I must tell you it looks extremely beautiful on you."
"I am happy. You make me happy. Thank you for earlier," I felt my cheeks blush, but either he didn't notice or he didn't point it out.
"Thank you. You make me happier than anyone else," he looked intensely into my eyes, and I was sure he meant it. I leaned in and kissed him hoping we could stay in that moment forever.
"How did you know Indian was exactly what I wanted?" I asked astonished after the delivery had arrived with our food, and we were sitting on my bedroom floor.
"Because it's your favorite." He kissed my lips, and I sat back picking at my naan bread.
"How do you know?" I asked bewildered. Indian was indeed my favorite food, but I didn't believe I had ever told him.
"Because I catch up on things." He smiled, and ate a piece of his butter chicken.
"Like what?"
"How not knowing stuff makes you go mad and you get very persistent because of it." He grabbed another piece of chicken and swallowed while watching me. "You get really stubborn when people try and help you out with something."
"When have I ever gotten stubborn?" I asked surprised that he picked up on these things.
"Like when I wanted to pay a taxi for you or wanted to help your bill situation. You want to be able to take care of yourself, and I love that about you, but you know it doesn't hurt you to take a helping hand once in a while." He smiled at me, and I looked down for a moment before my eyes met his.
"What else do you remember?" I was getting curious. I knew Harry was a sweetheart, but I never thought he was this perfect.
"I remember how you tend to forget a jacket when it's like freezing outside, and I want to scold you for it."
"Sorry." I giggled.
"And I remember the black skinny jeans and the white lace top you wore the first time I saw you making the skin on your stomach and your bra visible underneath. It was black by the way." He smirked, and I looked at him with adoration amazed that he had remembered all of this.
"You are pretty amazing you know that." I leaned over and kissed him. I could easily taste the butter chicken on his lips. It tasted nice.
"But I still don't understand how you know Indian's my favorite?"
"When I ordered pizza you didn't finish up. When we order burgers, I always finish it for you along with the fries and that one time I ordered Chinese you practically only ate the egg roles. When I ordered Indian however you got upset that I had only ordered one naan bread for each of us, and I had to give you my slice as well, remember?"
I laughed. I had never known my actions were so obvious to other people. Never had I thought you could learn so much about a person from just observing.
"I remember." I bit my bottom lip and stared into his green eyes that I easily got lost in every day.
"So I figured it was your favorite. Easy shot I guess."
"So how much did you buy?" I asked grabbing off a piece of the naan.
"How much did I buy of what?"
"The naan," I stated as if it was the obvious answer. I could eat that all day every day, but I hadn't been able to afford it after my grandma's passing. Unfortunately, it wasn't like I could afford much food in general.
"Just two."
"Oh okay," I said. My disappointment most likely obvious.
"You can have mine," he said, and my lips curled upwards in a smile. Some people might have called me greedy, but since he offered, I couldn't decline his offer when I desperately wanted that other piece.
"I can't believe you remember all this."
"What can I say, you are quite rememberable." He pecked my lips, and I got tingles running through my body. This boy was without a doubt the best thing that had ever happened to me, and I was sure nothing or no one would be able to come between us. He needed me, and I desperately needed him and not because he was extremely generous and paid for my bills and stuff but because I knew he was key to my happiness.
"What's on your mind?" He asked with raised brows.
"You," I spoke honestly.
"What about me? You thinking of how good I am in bed?" He winked at me, and I shook my head.
"No, Harry. I was thinking how I don't want anything to come between us because you make me happy."
"Aww isn't that cute." He teased.
"I'm serious, Haz. I don't know what I'd do without you."
"You're lucky," he whispered and pecked my cheek while I looked at him expectantly.
"And why's that?"
"I'm not going anywhere." He kissed me again and though I had craved that naan bread it didn't matter anymore. All I wanted was for Harry to touch me.
"You better hold onto that promise," I stared at him, and he nodded his head.
"I will. Promise."
Unfortunately, the bad thing about promises were that they could easily be broken.
