Kennedy's Pov
The last bell for the day rang and I jump out of my seat as fast as I can. I've been waiting hours for this to be over. Once again I've had people harassing me and making fun of me for something that is not even true and I'm sick of it. Someone actually taped a pencil pointing upwards on my chair so I'd sit on it. THAT'S DANGEROUS! That would cause physical pain!I walked out the front door of the school with my hood up. I look up from the ground and see Jason in the fire lane leaning against his car with a cigarette between his lips and his hands in his pockets. I don't even try to contain myself as I run full force towards him. His eyes widened right before I jumped on him and wrapped my arms around his neck. Luckily his car is there or else he would've fell right over. He flicked away his cigarette and wrapped his arms around me with a slight laugh as I buried my face in his neck.
The warmth of his body and the feeling of having his arms around me is comforting and just overall makes me relax.
"Did you miss me?" He joked. I just nod, not letting go.
"Can you take me home?" I mumbled.
"Yeah. Let's go." He said loosening his grip on me as I finally let go. He put his hands on my waist and looked at me.
"Are you okay?" He asked. I forced and smile and nodded.
"Yeah. I'm fine." I said. He obviously doesn't believe me so I stand on my tippy toes and peck him on the lips to distract him. He smirks as I move back.
"You're not getting off that easy. Get in the car." He said. I sighed and got into the passengers seat while he made his way to the other side. He started driving as I lean my head on the window and stare at the clouds.
"It looks like it's gonna rain again." I said breaking our verbal silence.
"Yeah maybe. So are you o—" Jason started to say but I cut him off.
"I love the rain. It's like a peaceful aggression. Rain causes so much damage and chaos but it's also really relaxing, ya know. Kinda like us. You're more aggressive than I am and I'm more peaceful than you. But I think it's beautiful. I think we are beautiful together. Does that make sense? I don't think that makes sense. Forget I said that." I rambled. A cute half smile formed on his face as he put his hand on my thigh sending butterflies to my stomach.
"We're still talking about why you're upset." He said. I frowned.
Butterflies gone.
"Not if I break up with you first." I scoffed. He raised his eyebrow with a sly smirk on his face.
"You won't though." He said. I crossed my arms.
"I hate your stupid face." I muttered immaturely in defeat. He just laughed and gave my thigh a little squeeze before taking his hand away.
~~~
We get to my house and no one is home. We walk inside and up towards my room. Jason flops lazily onto my bed as I plug my phone onto the charger and throw my backpack onto the floor. I kick my shoes off, crawl into the bed, and lie down beside Jason laying my head on his chest. He wraps his arm around me and his hand rests on my hip.
"What'd you do all day?" I asked. He shrugged.
"Not a whole lot. Me and Danny helped Ms.Wong build a bed frame and she bought us pizza. I also worked for a couple of hours." He said. I pouted my lip out a little as I realized something.
