Jason's Pov
I walked into the trailer as I scroll through my bank account on phone. I sighed and stepped through the door.

"Danny! What did you get from Number Three that's two hundred bucks!?" I yelled, walking into the kitchen.

"Uh, I don't remember. Sorry J." Danny said from the couch. I open the fridge and look for a beer.

"Sorry doesn't pay two hundred bucks bro...where's all the beer?" I asked finally looking over at him. Then my eyes widened upon seeing the one and only Kennedy Watson sitting on my couch.

Was her car even outside? What the hell?

"Hey Jason." She greeted with a small wave.

"Why are you here?" I asked. She was a little taken aback. Danny cleared his throat to gain my attention. I looked at him.

"She's here to see me." He said.

Oh? Oh. It's not weird at all for a grown man to hang out with a teenage girl Dan. Not at all.

"She's having a tough time at school with people and she needed to be around real friends." Danny explained.

"Pft. Real friends." I scoffed then froze when I realized I said that out loud. Kennedy ran her hands down her face and forced an obviously fake laugh. Then she stood up and started gathering her things.

"Come on Ken. He didn't mean it. We're still friends." Danny said trying to get her to sit back down.

"No. It's okay. I know when I'm not wanted. I've been through it already, right?" She said and walked towards the door. She looked at me and I opened my mouth to say something, anything, but nothing came out. She sighed and left. Danny glared at me as I leaned on the counter with a sigh.

"Do you know what she's been through today?" Danny asked. I shrugged.

"Yeah. Her old friend was being a bitch. She should be over that by now." I said. He rolled his eyes.

"This is why you should listen to people Jason. Yeah, Alyx publicly humiliated her this morning. Then, her grandmother called her from the hospital during third period. Then she lost her favorite pen. Then, PETER! Peter was such an asshole. He played with her feelings. He almost convinced her to get back together with him. He made her feel like she needs him. He danced on her heart. Oh! Then Bertha wouldn't start when she stopped at the gas station on her way here. She had to get a jump start from a stranger." Danny rambled. I stopped listening after the Peter thing.

He just doesn't know when to back off. He fucked up with Kennedy. He doesn't get another chance. Not after what he did. I can't believe she considered it either. What could he possibly have said that would make her think that getting back together with that prick is a good idea!?

"Do you know where she's going?" I asked. Danny stared at me for a second as if he hadn't heard me.

"Do you?" I asked again. He shrugged.

"She asked if I wanted to go to the football game with her but I said no. Then she asked if you would go. I said most likely not. She could still be going." Danny said. I nodded.

"Change of plans. We're going to a football game." I said grabbing my keys. Danny threw his hands up in the air.

"Did we even have plans in the first place!?" He exclaimed. I rolled my eyes and walked out to my car. I got in and Danny soon got into the passengers seat.
