Kennedy's Pov
"Jason! Jason stop!" I yelled after him before he could get to the door.It's around eight p.m. now and I've been with Jason in his room all day. Now he's trying to leave and meet with Carmine Buscho. I can't believe he's still going to do it.
"What are you going to do to stop me Kennedy?!" He snapped glaring at me. I flinched back and a lump formed in my throat.
Why is he mad at me? I don't want to see him get hurt or worse and he's mad at me for it?
"Jason calm down." Danny said from the couch while holding Turtle.
"Stay out of it Dan." Jason growled before jerking the door open violently and slamming it behind him as he walked out.
"Kennedy don't go after him." Danny warned. I ignored him and opened the door and walked out.
"You're not being rational Jason! Slow down!" I exclaimed. He ignores me opens his car door. By the time I get down to his car he's already started driving off. I let out a loud frustrated groan and march back inside.
"Kennedy just leave it. He'll be fine." Danny sighed as I grab my keys off of the kitchen counter.
"No I will not leave it. He is an idiot and he's going to get himself killed." I mumbled.
"So you're going to get yourself killed to help him? Listen, I love the kid to death but one thing I've learned is to let him do these things alone. He knows what he's doing." Danny explained. I stared him in the eye for a moment.
Honestly, I've seen Jason handle himself. He's calm and collected until he has no other choice. The man is like a damn ninja anyway.
Just as I'm about to calm down and relax an image of Jason lying dead on the ground flashes through my brain. I shook my head.
"Nope. I'm going." I said and walked out. I got into Bertha and before I start driving I call someone real quick.
"Hey Kenn. What's up?"
"Stevie, where's your dads house?"
~~~
The street is dimly lit. The street lights are like four houses apart, and these are some pretty large houses. I get to the end of the road and it's a dead end with a gated driveway and a guard standing outside. I pull up and stop outside the gate and roll down my window. The guard guy walks over to my window and eyes me up and down.
"Are you lost?" He asked leaning his arm on the window. I shook my head.
"I'm here to see Stevie Buscho. We're studying together. Is this the right house?" I asked innocently.
"Give me a minute miss." The guy says and pulls out a walkie talkie.
"Miss Buscho, there's a girl out here saying you're studying together." The guy says into the radio.
"Name?" I hear Stevie reply. The man looks at me.
"Kennedy Watson." I tell him.
"It's a miss Kennedy Watson." He said. It doesn't take long for Stevie to radio back and tell him to let me in. He nods and puts in a pin code for the gate to open.
"Thank you." I said and he nodded. I drove through the gate and start driving down the curvy, wooded driveway. It's half a mile long lit up by ground lights leading to a ginormous mansion. I see Jason's car parked outside and I park behind his car and Stevie runs out the front door before I even get out.
