"All That I Ever Wanted, I Already Had."

Kennedy's Pov
I slid out of bed with an exhausted groan. This past week after Monday has been so uneventful I'm actually shocked. There were no more threats or pictures towards me or Jason, that I know of. Jason hasn't tried to kiss me again! Which is highly disappointing. It's been a normal week aside from having Stevie hang out with us at school.

I hopped in the shower for a brief wash down because I woke up a little late. Then when I got out I brushed my teeth while wrapped in my towel before going into my room to get dressed. I put on dark ripped skinny jeans with a black tank top and my white slip-on Vans. I put on my cream colored Champion pullover hoodie. Then I combed out my wavy light brown hair.

Opting on going to school naked faced (no makeup) I sighed, grabbed my keys, phone, and backpack then made my way downstairs.

"I'm going to school! Bye!" I yelled through the house. Then I walked outside and got in Bertha.

It's lunch now. The day so far has, as always, been uneventful and full of dragging feet and clock ticks in my mind. Other than the fact that Jason isn't here, it's really just a normal day. I've been talking to Stevie all day as well as a couple of peers I chat with in classes.

"So I finally talked to him." Stevie said as I take a sip of my water.

"Who? Derek?" I asked. She nodded. Stevie has liked this guy in her art class since she first transferred at the beginning of the week. I know Derek though and he's a great guy. He's the quiet, poetic type. He's a great crush for Stevie.

"Yes Derek. He complimented my pen." She gushed. I laughed a little as I wait for her to continue. But she just stopped talking.

"And?" I urged. She shrugged.

"That's it. He said, 'nice pen'." She said. I frowned.

"Stevie, you do know that talking to him means actually talking right?" I asked.

"Of course I know. He said 'nice pen' and I said, 'yup'." She added. I face palmed with a sigh and turned my body towards her.

"Oh Stevie. All you said was 'yup'? You've gotta give him more than that." I said.

"I will. I have it all planned out. On Monday, I'm going to drop my pen in front of him and when he picks it up I'm going to say, 'thank you'." She explained. I once again waited for her to continue, but she didn't.

"Or, and this is just an option, you could start a conversation." I advised. She pouted.

"I don't find it that easy. How did you and Jason get together?" She asked. I snickered.

"Well one, we aren't together. We are just friends." I started off. I felt my heart tighten saying that but I ignore it.

"And two, I took the completely wrong approach. I cornered him in an empty classroom and forced him to tutor me in chemistry." I said. Stevie burst out laughing only causing me to laugh too.

"Excuse me, Kennedy?" A guy called breaking me away from Stevie. We both looked at him and I smiled nicely.

"Hey. What's up Taylor?" I asked.

Taylor Goodman is on the football team and lacrosse team. We have calculus together and he sits across the aisle from me. He's really sweet from the couple of interactions we've had. He's tall and honestly the perfect green eyed, blonde haired, chiseled jaw, golden boy. He sat down across from us and looked at me.
