Kennedy's Pov
Last night Danny, Jason, and I stayed in the rain during the entirety of the football game. Nothing really significant happened aside from the fact that I'm sick now. So...yay.School was canceled today because of flooding in five of the hallways. The rain hasn't stopped since last night. I wont complain because now I can stay in bed and cough out my guts.
"KENNEDY!"
Or maybe I can't stay in bed.
I sighed and got up in my gray sweatpants and my green hoodie with my school logo on it. I grabbed a blanket and wrapped myself in it after throwing my hair into a messy bun and I walked downstairs in my barefoot glory.
"Whaaaaaat?" I groaned trudging into the living room where Diane and dad are sitting.
With Danny and Jason.
"Honey look. Your friends brought you breakfast because you're sick." Diane said with a smile, gesturing towards the Taco Bell breakfast burritos on the coffee table.
"You look like crap." Danny said with a laugh before Jason not-so-subtly kicked his leg making him shut up.
I looked at Jason and Danny. They look extremely uncomfortable. Probably because my dad is glaring at them from across the living room.
"Wait, you guys brought me breakfast?" I asked, just to clarify. They nodded, not bothering to say one word. I rolled my eyes.
"Dad. Stop looking at them like that." I said. Dad sighed and stood up.
"I have to go to work." He said.
"Whoah hold on. Not in this weather mister." Diane protested. Dad ignored her and started walking away. She got up and followed. I looked at Danny and Jason who finally slouched on the couch now that Dad is gone.
"So...we got you breakfast." Danny said forcing a smile.
"His idea." Jason added. I sat down on the couch beside them.
"Thank you." I chirped. But then something terrible happened.
I got that itch. The itch in my nose telling me that its coming. I'm about to SNEEZE!
I put my finger up to single "one moment" then I buried my head in my blanket and sneezed. Jason and Danny burst our laughing. I glared at them, with the bottom half of my face still in my blanket.
"A 'bless you' would've been nice." I sneered. They only laughed harder.
"That was the cutest sneeze I have ever heard!" Danny exclaimed. I just rolled my eyes and grabbed a breakfast burrito while they finish their laughter.
"Okay okay. We're done." Jason said as he sobered up from his laughing fit.
"Yeah. Sorry." Danny said.
"Okay so...your father left for work. I have to run some errands. I suggest you all stay here." Diane said walking in with her purse. I almost dropped my burrito.
"What? Diane, no. You are not driving in pouring rain. You are pregnant with not one, but two babies. Let me drive you." I argued.
"No Kenny. You're sick and I don't want you going outside today. At all. Boys, make sure she stays in the house." Diane said.
