tyler sat his sonic drink down, before dropping his bag and signing in. it was his study hall period, he had before basketball.
"hey man." jaxon said, tyler nodding his head and sighing as he sat back and got on his phone. jaxon sighed.
"nathan mom said we're going out to eat tonight." jaxon said to his twin brother.
"alright sweet. i wanna go to olive garden." he said.
"me too. i'll tell her." he said, texting his mom.
"tyler you wanna come with us?" nathan asked.
"nah." he shook his head, barely looking up from his phone. today was thursday of the next week, him and josh broke up last monday. he didn't go to school the rest of the week, he faked being sick so his mom wouldn't make him go.
he didn't want to care, and he didn't want to miss the boy. he found himself wondering why josh hasn't texted him back, or wondering why josh hasnt called. he would catch himself seeing posts on insta and forgetting he can't send them to josh. he'd reach over on his bed and frown and worry when he didn't feel josh right next to him. he missed the boy. he missed his smile and his laugh and his presence.
i mean it was even affecting his sex life. he'd either not be able to even get hard, or he'd have to fake his orgasm. he's been going for guys a lot more often too, and usually he goes for girls. he hated this. he just missed josh. he missed brendon, and ryan, and dallon, and well emma. he wasn't mad at emma. it was his fault. he applauded emma for being honest and straight up.
he regretted everything he said. joshs words still dug into his ears, he could still here josh saying them every night. but he was right. he was worthless, and just a disgrace to his family name.
and it hurt, oh it hurt when he saw josh and max, hand in hand, all over each other in biology. he acted like it didn't, but on the inside oh it hurt. he knew he was never able to treat josh that good. and it hurt even more knowing it was max. out of everyone it had to be max.
tyler didn't hate max either. he deserved for it to be max, for what he did to him.
he ran his hand through his hair, sighing and sitting up so his elbows were on the table.
"you coming bro?" owen nudged tyler, him looking up annoyed as someone touched him.
"where?" he asked.
"to my party i'm throwing this weekend." he said.
"no." tyler said, looking back down at his phone.
"okay dude what the fuck is up with you?" owen asked.
"i don't know what the hell youre talking about." tyler grimly replied.
"yeah bro. all week you've said like what, 2 words? you're skipping a party, you look like you haven't slept in weeks. whats up man? you've been bitchy in basketball and it's just pissing everyone else off." jaxon said.
"nothing. i'm fine. fuck outta my shit." tyler snapped, taking a drink of his sonic.
"alright well we didn't do anything, so stop taking it out on us." ethan said, tyler just rolled his eyes and snorted.
"is this about josh?" jaxon asked, a little softer and nicer.
"what? no. i don't give a fuck about josh. i'm glad he's gone." tyler said quickly, avoiding eye contact.
"it's okay bro. you can talk to us." jaxon said.
"i'm fine." he said, reaching in his backpack and pulling out his airpods. he put them in, before going to netflix and starting his show.
