Big TV screens all over the world feature this broadcast. Thanos stands in his battle gear with Ebony Maw at his side. The planet in the background seems to be Titan, except it is radiant with glowing energy fields of the six colors of the gauntlet.
Thanos- This is a broadcast to every sentient being present in the universe. I, Thanos, wielder of the infinity gauntlet, hereby proclaim myself as supreme king and overlord of this universe. Whosoever challenges my authority, is welcome to duel with me at my home planet, Titan.
Maw- The duels will only be conducted one on one, and our king won't waste time on peasants. You would first have to defeat lower minions of the king's supreme legion, and afterwards win in a duel with Prince Maw. Me.
Thanos- Should anyone of you possess the power to beat me, they shall be given the infinity gauntlet as a reward, if it remains intact at the end of the duel.
Maw- Otherwise, bow in submission to the greatest king and supreme overlord of all time, and await for further instructions.
The broadcast ends.
Maw- Why are you doing this, sire?
Thanos- What?
Maw- These duels, they are an unnecessary risk and frankly speaking, a waste of valuable resources and time.
Thanos- Maw, I wish to renounce my power. I have achieved my goal, only to doubt in the end if it was all worth it. But I won't give away the gauntlet easily. This power is mine, yet it has imprisoned me. If you truly want me to become the king of the universe, I must make everyone in it bow to my rule, or else I am not worthy.
Maw- You know they can undo the snap, right?
Thanos- The chances are worse than one in a million. And I don't care if they do, Maw. It would finally be the end.
Maw- How can you say so?
Thanos- You seem to forget the change of heart you had at death.
Maw- Mere hallucinations of a dying body and energy-deprived mind.
Thanos snaps his fingers, and Maw's projection disappears into red strands.
Thanos- Let them come. Let them all come.
