TW: panic, crying, very brief mention of blood

Emile immediately knew something was wrong. He could feel it in his gut. He quickly put on a sweatshirt and quietly make his way to the front door silently going out on the porch. The cold autumn breeze hit his face and made the porch swing move in the wind. Fat raindrops hit the swing before dripping onto the porch.

The figure seemed to notice quickly making his way down the sidewalk to avoid any further confrontation. Emile ran down the porch steps and onto the sidewalk, his bare feet hitting the wet cement.

The figure ran across the wet lawn. Their black leather boots slipped on a big puddle making them fall onto the damp grass and drop their duffle bag. Emile took this as his chance running over to the figure feeling his hair and sweatshirt getting heavy with rain. He knelt next to them. The bubbly man felt the rain soak into the knees of his jeans.

"Hey, why were you just sneaking out of Logan's house," Emile said subconsciously raising his voice placing his hands on the figure's shoulders.

It was then the bubby man got a good look at the person. They were visibly shaking tremendously and large tears flowed down their pale face along with raindrops.

"I-im sorry...I didn't mean to....i-im sorry..." They muttered shakily under their breath over and over as they tried to stand up falling back down.

Emile looked sorrowfully at the kid through his raindrop fogged glasses before touching their shoulder comfortingly. They flinched away shaking more.

"Hey it's alright, I'm not gonna hurt you alright?" The man spoke softly to the shaking figure. "I'm going to help you alright, but you need to try to tell me what's going on," he reassured them.

"Dad..angry......homophobic..
.Logan...blood...my fault," the figure stuttered out. Emile looked at them with sad eyes. He put his arm under the figures and around their sholders helping them stand. He picked up their now-soaked duffle. The figure leaned into Emile's larger form as they headed towards his house, the rain still mercilessly pounding down on them.

They both made their way to the father's house, helping them up the steps. Emile sat them down on the couch wrapping them in a blanket. They had seemed to have calmed down a bit, both of them still dripping with rain.

"Is it alright if I ask you a few questions kiddo?" The bubbly man asked cautiously. The figure nodded. "What's your name? Full name please,"

"R-Remy Berry," they stuttered out hesitantly.

"What are your pronouns? So I know how to address you," he questioned.

Remy sat there for a moment not knowing how to respond. They knew their pronouns put could he trust this random man. He had helped him and was very friendly. They looked into Emile's eyes. "They/them,"

"Alright Remy, what happened exactly?"

"It's all my fault,"
