TW: implied abuse, crying, slight injury

To say Patton was worried would be an under exaggeration. He didn't know if Logan was alright and the intellectual wasn't answering any of his calls. The thunderstorm outside was not helping. Patton sat curled up on his bed wrapped in his blanket hugging his pillow tightly. He wished Logan was here.

It was then that Patton heard the front door slam shut. He looked out his window at the driveway. No cars or anything, just rain. Patton inquisitive Lee peaked out of his doorway his blanket wrapped around his shoulders. He took soft steps up the stairs as to not wake anyone else up. He peaked over the railing seeing his father holding a person wrapped in a grey blanket closely. The person's chest went up and down quickly almost as if they were crying.

"Dad? What's going on?" The smaller boy questioned walking up the stairs and coming into view. The person looked towards Patton, fear in their eyes.

"Patt, this is Remy, Logan's sibling. They're going to stay here a while," Emile said rubbing their back softly. "Remy this is my son Patton, he's not going to hurt you alright," Remy nodded seemingly relaxing a little.

"Why are they here? What happened?" Patton asked his voice slightly panicky. Remy opened their mouth like they were about to say something before closing their mouth again quickly shaking their head. Emile rubbed circles in Remy's back comfortingly.

"Kiddo, Remy decided to come out to their father and they were forced to out Logan as well, and let's just say....their dad isn't the most excepting person," Emile said gently pulling up Remy's sleeve revealing cuts and bruises before Remy flinched away pulling their sleeve back down.

Patton didn't know what to say. He let his blanket drop to the ground resting around his bare feet. "W-what about Logan?! He's not safe there! W-we have to go get him!" The smaller boy said panicked. He was right to be worried. His FRIEND was in danger and they were all just sitting around.

Emile calmly approached his son gently resting his hands on Patton's shoulders. He knelt down to his level looking the panicked boy his now tear-filled eyes. "We will get him, he's going to be just fine but there's nothing we can do right now. We can go to the police station in the morning alright?"

Patton nodded sadly feeling helpless. The boy walked over to Remy hugging them lightly. "It's not your fault," he spoke softly letting go before making his way back downstairs. Patton waited till upstairs was silent before he went over to his window removing the screen and climbing out onto the damp grass making his pajama pants and hands wet.

He was not going to sit there while Logan was most likely being hurt. Not on his watch. He was going to save Logan even if it killed him.
