When we get to the table, everyone is half way through their plates. Payton put a hoodie on to cover up his neck and chest. I told him to keep it low so I wouldn't have to wear something.
"Hey thanks for waiting," Payton said pulling out his chair. I sat next to Joanne and Jackson while Payton sat across from me and sat next to Chase H and Dylan.
"Well it's not our fault you took an hour," Jackson said laughing. The boys laughed as me and Joanne made fun of them.
"Yeah with your wife over here," Chase H said pointing his fork at me. I roll my eyes and laugh.
"Real mature guys," I said before taking a bite of eggs.
"Ooh someone must be on their period," Chase K says. My face goes bright pink. It's one thing saying I am and then it's another have someone saying it at a table full of boys and in front of Payton. Joanne looks at them and gives them a glare. She mouths something to Payton but I can hear some words slip from her mouth. My face still red, I look down and put my fork down. I'm not on my period but soon I'll be acting like it.
"Leave her alone," she whispers as she takes a drink of water. I smile at my plate as I watch Payton put his hands up in defense from the corner of my eye.
I help Joanne with the dishes after breakfast while the boys go do something. While Joanne put soap and warm water on the dishes, I dried the rest.
"Those boys, so rude. I'm sorry y/n," Joanne said as she turned the sink off.
"Oh your fine. They were just being boys and joking around," I say setting the last plate down. I dry my hands off on a towel and soon feel arms wrap around me from behind me. I sigh and put the ring I had on earlier back on my finger.
"Baby?" Payton says rocking us back and forth. I set the towel down and then put my hands on the counter.
"Yes?" I ask annoyed. He rests his head on my shoulder. He moves a hair that falls in my face.
"I'm sorry for earlier. They were just joking around," he says before I cut him off.
"Well is wasn't a funny joke. It was embarrassing and it didn't make me feel good," I say crossing my arms and pushing him off of my, whole facing him. He frowns and reaches out for me.
"Baby, why would you be embarrassed?" He asks. I move away from his hands and back myself against the kitchen counter.
"Maybe because he said it at a table full of boys," I said huffing. He runs his hands through his hair.
"I'm sorry and I know they didn't mean to hurt your feelings," he said. He hugs me but I don't hug him back until I give up. His hugs were the best, what can I say?
"Come on, let's go get ready," he said as he grabbed my hand and dragged me upstairs. I opened his closet and got our a pair of my jeans and a tank top. I always keep clothes here. Then I put my Air Force's on and wait for Payton to finish up doing his hair. I get dressed in the bathroom and then brush my teeth, do my hair and then I'm ready. Payton sits on his bed waiting for me. And he smiles when he sees me.
"ready?" I nod my head in response. He grabbed my hand and leads me out to the living room. I look at Payton and notice the hickey. My breath hitches and I put my hand on his neck. Payton stops walking as I pull him back , making him stumble.
"What are you doing?" He asks. I take my hand off and notice how big it is.
"The hickey, you can see it," I say. He shrugs and sighs. I guess he doesn't care then. We continue walking into the living room with all eyes on us. A boy whistles but i dont know which one.
"hey payton i think you got something on your neck," Chase H said while laughing. Payton rolled his eyes as the other boys laughed along.
"Let's go shall we?" Chase K responded and we all nodded and cheered. I don't actually know where we are going but i think it will be fun. We get an Uber and somehow we all fit. Chase H sat in the passengers seat and I kind of had to sit in Payton's lap. I scrolled through my phone as the car proceeded to take us to our destination.
When we arrived i looked around and noticed how empty it was.
"payton where are we?" I mumbled as i grabbed his hand.
"a party my friend is throwing," he said. We walked into the big building with a bunch of glass windows. The place looked kind of abandoned and sketchy but i trusted my boyfriend. We went into a room and there was a crowd of people, and i mean a huge crowd. As far as i could see, famous TikTokers, people from insta and twitter were there but they were all teenagers. the first people i spotted were Cash Baker, Anthony Reeves, Dani Cohn, and Sebastian Moy. Payton continued to walk forward so he dragged me through a crowd of people. Big crowds weren't my thing but i learned to deal with it throughout the years. This wasn't a party were there was alcohol or drugs or anything like that. They was just really loud music, food, non alcoholic drinks, and dancing teenagers. Payton found some of his friends so i went along with him to say hi. Payton was in the middle of talking with Jaden Hossler until i saw my babies. I let go of Pay and ran over to Vereena and Zoe.
"omg y/n!" Zoe yelled. She hugged my tightly and didn't let go for a minute. I hugged Vereena next and we talk for a bit about our lives and how things are.
"so, you and payton huh?" Vereena says nudging me with her elbow. i blush and nod. They squeal and i laugh.
"well you guys are so cute," zoe exclaims pitting her hands on mind.
"where is he anyway?" Vereena asks looking around. I points behind me and tell her he's talking to friends.
"where though?" Zoe also says looking past me. i turn around and don't see him anywhere.
"come on girly, we have to go find your man," Vereena said grabbing my hand and pushing past the crowd of people. we walk into another room and there the room was red and then it was blue, then green. A bunch of kids were sitting on a couch talking laughing. payton wasn't there so we walked into another room where we saw Alex Guzman, Carlos Mena, Devyn Kohl, and Samantha Partida.
"omg Vereena!" Alex yells as he gets up from the couch and hugs her.
"hey babe, have you seen payton moormeier," she asks. *she says babe as in a friendly way* Alex nods.
"He walked off that way with Avani and Chase and Cynthia," he said pointing to a door in the corner of the room.
"ok thank you Alex!" V yells as the girls drag me to the door. Zoe opens it slowly and see a ton more people. We enter the room and see flashing lights and more loud music. payton, avani, chase, and cynthia, stand around a food table with cups in their hands. They all laugh as a group until cynitha and chase leave the two alone. zoe pulls me behind a table and V comes up next to us.
"we have to spy on them," zoe says looking at the two.
"come on zo, that's not right," I say getting up.
"she's right y/n. he is your boyfriend and he's hanging out with another girl!" V states pulling me back down. I roll my eyes and look at payton and avani. After a minute avani starts to lean in. She giggles at something he says and soon they are practically leaning on each other. He looks up every 5 seconds and makes sure no one is watching him. avani reaches down and grabs his hand, holding it in hers.
"what the fuck?" V says squinting. I turn my head because I don't want to watch. But I couldn't resist. I look back and see avani's lips on his. I turn my head.
"come on y/n, let's get out of here," zoe says pushing me up and out of the room. I look back at payton and see his face red and his eyes on me, with a sad painful look in his eye.
All three of us sit in the curb in silence.
The girls feel bad but i feel guilty. And I really don't know why. i know i didn't do anything but i feel like i did in a way.
" did i do something?" I say putting my hands in my hair. Zoe puts her hand on my back and scoots closet to me.
"of course not baby. it's him," she said rubbing my back. tears ran down my face. i thought all of this was over. i heard the door to the big building open but V ran to it and started talking quickly. I couldn't here what she said but I'm guessing whoever it was, left. A few minutes later V came back with a boy. He say down next to me and zoe and v left.
"hey," the boy said. I wiped my face and look the boy in the face. Dylan was sitting there next to me. I gave him a weak smile before he spoke.
"you didn't do anything wrong," he spoke. i sniffled and nodded.
