Hunter had to leave again. I pouted like a spoilt brat and stomped my foot but I understand.

It's hard being away from him for weeks at a time but I think absence makes the heart grow fonder, not that I don't already love him, but it makes the moments we spend together, even more special and appreciated.

Every time a text appears on my phone, a huge smile takes over my face but on the rare occasion I get my hopes up, only to find it's either Tara or Candice.

Sophie checks in every now and again and I'm grateful we all get along so well.

Tara has already set up a group chat for the wedding planning which up to now only has messages from her, unlike My Aunt Karen, I don't have to rush this.

I want to take my time and enjoy being engaged for a while.

10.32 am Hunter:

Just thinking of you and how much I love you. I miss you already.

My heart flutters as I read his text, he's so fucking cute. I wonder how I got so lucky, what have I done to deserve this man?

10.34 am Me:

I miss you too. I want you home. Your sister is relentless with Links to different wedding sites, I think I might strangle her. Would you be open to marrying the woman that murdered your sister?

A few minutes pass with nothing. I imagine him running around a field blowing the silver whistle I bought him as a gift when he got the job and ordering people about.

He's hot when he's bossy.

Actually, he's hot all the time, but especially when he's all authoritative and demanding.

10.39 am Hunter:

I'll marry you regardless... I wish I was there with you.

He accompanies the text with a sad face emoji and it gives me an idea... It'll take a lot of effort, but hopefully, with help, I can accomplish it.

I decide to take his mind of it and cheer him up the best way I know how.

Sexting always works.

10.41 am Me:

Me too. I've got the horn.

10.42 Hunter:

You've always got the horn. I don't blame you, If I were you, I'd be turned on by me too.

I roll my eyes at his huge ego, deciding to ignore that message for the time being, I open google and search for hotels.

I open up messenger and send a group text.

10.53 am Me:

Anyone up for a trip to New York? Hunter and I need an engagement party.

I follow the text with a link to hotels in and around the area.

Before long, Candice, Tara, Devon and Sophie have all replied in agreement.

10.53am CandyCane:

Count me in.

Her response is followed by a thumbs up.

10.54 am Tara:

Why are you sending me links to hotels? Devon and I will stay with Soph. Now get your ass ready to go shopping!
