Emily's P.O.V

3months later.

I gape up at the house I now get to call my home. It's beautiful and picturesque, like something seen only in a magazine or in movies.

It's small, but it's perfect. Everything I could have wished for.

A white picket fence surrounds the small bit of land and Ivy snakes up one side of the house above the little porch over the front door.

I take a deep breath, taking everything in. This is the first day of the rest of my life.

I feel Hunters arms snake around my waist from behind me and he kisses my cheek, nuzzling into my neck.

"Happy?"

"Very" I respond holding his hands and leaning my head back to rest on Hunters shoulder but never taking my eyes off of the building in front of me.

It's a surreal feeling. I now officially feel like a grown up.

My last day at home had been really hard. I knew I would visit Tara, Devon and Eden a lot but it was still difficult to leave.

With the money my dad had saved over the years, I decided to buy a house. It wasn't a lot but with Aunt Karen still paying me rent for the other house and more cash in my bank than I knew what to do with, Hunter and I had talked it over and eventually, after a whole lot of arguements, had agreed that we should invest the money into our future.

And what better way than to give us, and eventually our kids a safe and happy place to live?

"Instead of gaping, you could help with the rest of the furniture" Christine complains from behind us.

We both laugh at her and Hunter kisses my neck before letting go of me and going to help his mom.

My phone rings from inside my bra and I fish it out, spotting Taras name on the screen.

"No word of a lie Em, I swear these babies are trying to kick their way out of me" she says as soon as I answer and I laugh.

"Always so dramatic" I say. "Why are you calling? I've been gone a day."

"I miss you"

"I'm literally a phone call away. How does Devon put up with your clingy needs?" I joke.

"It's not funny Emily, i've been surrounded by boys my whole life and now the one friend I actually have has moved to a different state. It's weird."

"Not long left and Devon will know exactly how you feel, three Tara's is going to be more than enough for him"

"True" she replies. "You're still coming back for my baby shower right?"

"Of course I am Tara. I'll be back next week to pick up a few last bits, anyway."

"Emily!" Hunters voice shouts from behind me and I glance over to see him struggling with the dining table by himself.

"Shit, Tara. I have to go but I love you. Give those babies an extra special cuddle from their favourite Aunt, I'll see you soon." I hang up without waiting for a reply.

Once all of the furniture is in the house and Christine has hung the curtains like the Saint she is, Sophie and Declyn come over for dinner with the girls. We've been so busy that we just order Chinese takeout, Hunter unable to cook and me with no energy for anything.

Christine is staying with us for a couple of days while we get set up.

"Uncle Hunter?" little Ava smiles at him and Hunter turns to her. "Aunt Tara is having a baby"

"I know, aunt Tara is actually having two babies."

"Is that why she's so fat?" Amelia asks making us all chuckle.

"You can't call a pregnant woman fat" Hunter tells his niece, she's looking at him with such innocence that it makes me laugh.

"You can't call anyone fat, Amelia" Sophie says "it's not nice"

"Sorry mom" The little girl looks down at her plate.

"Is Emily going to have a baby soon?" Ava asks and I almost choke on my dinner.

"Someday. Not right now" Hunter tells her and she nods taking it all in.

"Oh shit, can you imagine daddy Hunter" Declyn laughs but I can tell he's teasing.

"I'm going to be an effing amazing dad" Hunter protests pointing his chopsticks straight at his brother who only grins in return.

"Yes, you are" I agree and he turns to smile at me, leaning in to peck me on the lips.

"Eww!" Ava shudders and we all laugh. She's exactly like Tara. "Can boys have babies?"

Declyn stands up abruptly and looks toward his wife. "That's a conversation for mommy" he swiftly walks away leaving Ava and Amelia looking at their mother confused.

Hunter clears his throat. "Babies are made-"

I whack him hard in the chest, effectively cutting him off and he hunches over. "Don't you dare!" I scold him and he grins.

"In a factory" he finishes "a stork collects them and delivers them to their parents."

"So how do they get in their mommy's tummy?" Ava asks making us all cringe. Hunter just opened a whole new can of worms.

"Yep, definitely a conversation for mommy." Hunter repeats following after his brother.

I roll my eyes.

"Let's talk about it later, girls okay?" Sophie suggests and both girls nod in agreement. I'd love to be a fly on the wall for that conversation.

I notice Christine is texting on her phone a lot, she's barely put the thing down since we sat down for dinner but I don't say anything on the subject. She's finally starting to get her life back on track and I'm happy for her.

"My mom text me earlier, Edens been asking to see me so I've asked if I can bring her to New York soon to stay for a few days."

"That's great. It must be weird for you, finding out about her after all this time." Sophie says and I nod. "How old is she?"

"She just turned two. We had a party at Aunt Karens house. Mom's place isn't decorated properly yet and our apartment is tiny."

We'll have to start thinking about putting the apartment up for sale soon. It's a shame, I'm really going to miss it. I've had some really good memories in that place.

It's funny thinking that Hunter basically only bought that apartment so we would have somewhere to have uninterupted, no strings attached sex.

"Why are you smiling like an idiot at your phone?" Sophie asks and I look at Christine who quickly puts her phone away. "Ooh someone has a secret."

"Sophie, darling. I love you" Christine states standing up and taking her unfinished food with her. "But you should really learn to keep that" she prods Sophies nose gently "out of other people's business" She finishes before walking away.

Sophie and I laugh while the little girls at the table just stare at us.
