Emily's POV

I glance up when I hear a noise from the staircase. Tara smiles proudly at me and I grin at how excited she seems. "Emily Carter, let me introduce you to the new, beautiful and sexy Christine Graham"

She raises a hand toward the staircase where her mom is descending it. She looks beautiful, vibrant even. It didn't escape my attention that Tara introduced her mom using her maiden name.

Christine looks shy and nervous as she reaches the bottom of the stairs and I clap excitedly. "You look incredible." I tell her happily, I'm glad she's moving on and trying to get over Ken.

I think it'll take more than one date but it's something at least.

"Thank you" She blushes and I laugh at her reaction. Tara would be demanding all the attention and showing off her hot bod, Christine is the complete opposite. Maybe they're not as similar as I thought.

The night of Candices Club opening, Christine had met a charming man named Mark and his son Ryan.

Ryan had taken a fancy to Candice straight away and she fucked off her managerial duties for the night so she could spend the night talking to him.

Which left Mark alone. Christine took pity on the gorgeous older man and they hit it off instantly. They've spoken a few times over the phone and texted here and there and yesterday he finally asked her out. From what I've heard he's identified to Paul Hollywood, which definitely isn't a bad thing.

"Where's that son of mine?"

"Out with a friend" I lie. Hunter had actually decided to attempt to bury the hatchet with his dad. He was dubious at first but after we talked at length about it, I think it finally hit home. It's been five months since they last spoke and enough is enough.

"He'll be back before you leave" Tara said giving her mom a hug, only to wince and sag slightly. "Ooh fuck!"

"Tara!"

"Sorry Mom" Tara replies holding onto her ever growing belly. "That one hurt."

The babies are growing more everyday, leaving less and less space for them to wriggle around. Every twenty minutes or so Tara will wince in pain, which Hunter insists is just a ruse to get attention.

"Don't worry sweetheart, only eight weeks left" Christine smiles rubbing her daughters belly.

I have to admit, I'm a little jealous. Tara is glowing. Although, she seems to be having trouble sleeping, she still looks like a runway model.

"And twins are more likely to come early" I remind her of the fact picking at a packet of chips on the counter top.

I can only hope I'm in Taras position soon.

I wonder briefly how Hunters meeting with his dad is going. Knowing his temper, he no doubt probably punched him and is already on his way back.

I wouldn't be surprised.

On a more positive note, Tara managed to bag our wedding venue for us. I don't know how she did it but apparently the land we want to use is owned by some big company who were planning to build on it in the early spring.

Tara convinced them to wait until after summer, I'm assuming by throwing her dads cash around. At least Ken is helpful for some things. And I don't even feel bad about it.

We hired a moving company to take most of our big stuff to the house and came back for a couple of days to pack up the rest of our things, pictures, documents and other small things.
