Laughs and smiles to remember
Hugs and hands to hold
All a faded memory
One held me tight
Another danced the night away
Another smart mouthed right back
All of them close to my heart
They say time heals all wounds
Time just makes it easier to bear
The weight of the loss and pain
Even though it never gets lighter
Once beautiful memories
Are tainted with sadness and loss
