"Please don't, please, noooo !"
A door bursts open. A guy holding bags walks into the room and on seeing the scene immediately drops the bags.
Struggles... Muffled groans... A well placed punch.
"It's me... Your safe now, I'm here" The male says trying to comfort the innocent looking girl crying hysterically.
" Your safe now, I promise. I won't let the demons get to you. It's alright" The male says trying to comfort the young girl. Who slowly starts calming down.
" We're in this together, remember? " He asks but before the young girl can answer, an attack from behind.
Another fight ensues. But this time...
A GUNSHOT... SOUND OF A SLUMPING BODY... BLOOD... A CORPSE.
The anguished cries of the young girl is heard. She's broken.

Narrator's POV
" Becky... Becky... Please wake up" Seth calls frightened as he places her on his lap, cuddling her.
Instead of waking up, Becky's cries and screams louder than before. Seth's as scared as hell, all he can do is hold her close.
" Please wake up... For me, please" He begs very scared.
" Please Becky... I.... I can't live without you. You've slowly become the air I breathe, your the joy I see, the happiness in me... Don't take all this away from me" Seth stutters through tears.
Slowly she begins to stir, Seth heaves a sigh of relief and wipes away the tears in his eyes.
" Yes... Open those lovely eyes... Your safe now... Open those beautiful eyes and see that your safe... There's no beast here, I promise to slay anyone that comes close" Seth promises .
Becky finally opens her eyes and bursts into tears burying her head in his shoulders... Her safe place... Always has been and always will be.
Seth goes on running his fingers through her hair and whispering
"it's okay"
When Becky finally stops crying, Seth pecks her forehead and embraces her. Placing her cheek in his palm he says
" Don't ever scare me like that again, this is the second time, next time I won't know what to do.
With that he places her head back on his shoulder letting her cry all her miseries out. Continuously rubbing her back in circles.
Becky's POV
" Becky, you can't go on like this, you need to talk to me" Seth says empathically.
For a second I actually consider opening up to him because I can see the honesty in his eyes and hear the concern in his voice.
But then again I'm too scared, always have been and always will be. Not even Charlotte knows about this, she has a glimpse but not the full thing.
I'm too scared of rejection to open up to anyone. I chose this cross and I have to carry it. I want to but I can't forget that part that broke me, that has hunted me, since I was 12.
Sooner than later, the truth is gonna come out, the moment I've been dreading is gonna come, my time is almost up but I just can't get myself to open up to Seth. Maybe one of these days I will, but that's if it's not too late, I have a habit of being late at life changing moments.
After thinking about all this I finally say to Seth " Seth, please I don't wanna talk about it... at least not today"
" Ok " he replies, disappointment evident in his voice and I don't know why but it makes my heart ache.
My relationship with Seth is slowly becoming unhealthy and I need to create some space, that's if it's possible even without the handcuffs. Seth has slowly become a part of my daily routine and a day without him would simply... not be a day.
" Let's go to sleep" Seth says and I nod. We lie down together, staring into space in a silence that's uncomfortable. I feel too guilty to look at him so I turn to my side.
" Becky? " Seth calls but I don't reply. I need to create some space between the both of us.
At least the one good thing that came out of this is that I now realize I made a mistake by getting too attached.
I need to create distance... for Seth's sake.
