Seeing Kwan laying in this hospital bed had me going crazy. My dad went and got the kids. He brought them up here to see their dad. They didn't take it too well. So he took them home with him.
I was glad about that cause it gave me time to be with him. I didn't mean for this to happen to him. I blame myself for this. All I had to do was let him stay home. So I feel this is all on me.
My dad said it wasn't my fault. That it was Kwan's fault. But I don't feel that way. Jackson said he is making progress and hopefully he can come off some of those machines.
I really hope so cause I don't like seeing him like this. Jackson walked in and stood next to the bed. He checked the machines and wrote some things down.
"How you holding up Amira?" Jackson asked as he put his hand on my shoulder.
"Truthfully, I just want him to wake up. This is hard for me. And it's all my fault."
"Amira this is not your fault. Don't blame yourself. If he hadn't put himself in this situation, none of this will be happening right now."
"I know that's what daddy said but at the same time, all he wanted was to come home. I made him leave. So therefore it's my fault." Amira said as tears fell.
Jackson walked closer and hugged her. "Now I don't suppose to talk like this to you on the clock but you are like a niece to me." Jackson said.
"Don't give up on Kwan. He has made a mistake I get that. But get counseling or something. If you can work it out do it."
"I hear you about that. But right now I just need for him to live that's it. I don't want to make no major decisions about that right now."
"Ok I understand. I'm not gonna pressure you about that at all. But just know I've seen what this can do. When your parents went through it."
"Yes I know and this is why I never liked the situation. And Kwan has known this from day one. Now I got to deal with the same thing. That shit hurts."
Jackson looked at her and hugged her. "Page me if you need anything you hear me?" He said to her.
Amira shook her head yes and turned back to Kwan. As Jackson left Amira brought her attention back to him. Tears continued to run down her cheeks.
"Come on baby keep fighting. You got this. I love you and I need you." Amira said as he ran her fingers through Kwan's hair.
Tears fell on the covers as she laid her head on him. She said a little prayer and closed her eyes. She laid there until she fell asleep. Hours passed by and she didn't even realized she had been there that long.
She felt someone tap her shoulder. She opened her eyes to see her father standing there. "Hey baby girl how you holding?" Alonzo asked.
"Amira focuses her eyes and stretch. "I'm just tired daddy. Has Kwan woke up yet?" Amira asked her dad.
"No baby not yet. Jackson came in and took some more vitals. He said he is making some progress. All we can do right now is pray and keep hope."
Amira looked at Kwan laying in the bed and got emotional all over again. "Daddy this is my fault. I don't care how you put this. I should have just let him stayed home that day."
Alonzo didn't know what to say to her at this point. So all he did was rub her back and stood there with her. There was a knock on the door.
"Come in." Alonzo said to the person knocking.
As they walked in he got upset. "What the hell are you doing here?"
"I can be here too. This is my daughter too." Jalisha said.
Amira stood and faced her. "I don't want you here. Get out. You don't mean me or Kwan any good."
"Don't speak to me like that. I don't want him to die Amira. Things may not be good between us but I'm not heartless."
"Bitch please that's probably why you hear. Just to see if he is gonna die. Or go back to report to that bitch of a baby mama."
"Wait now Amira. Don't talk to your mother like that. Even though she do deserve it but still respect that she is your mother." Alonzo said.
"Daddy if she knows what's best for her, she will leave my husband fucking room right now before I have her banned." Amira said not caring about her feelings.
"Wow so you hate me that much huh?" Jalisha said with hands on her hips.
"You damn right I do. Now for the last time, Get the FUCK out!!!" Amira yells.
"Come on let's step outside. I need to talk to you anyway." Alonzo said grabbing by her arm.
They walked to the waiting room that was given to them. It was a private room with a bed and all. As they walked in Alonzo locked the door so no one can just walk in.
"Why are you here Jalisha? I thought I told you not to come." Alonzo started at her.
"Alonzo you are not keeping me from my daughter. What part of that don't you understand?"
"I ain't keeping you from no damn body. You doing a great job of that your damn self. Hell I don't want to even see you or be around you."
"See what I mean? You have always put that so called son of yours on a pedal stool over me. And I'm tired of that shit." Jalisha said getting loud.
"Oh so this is what this little visit is about? You wanted to see if he was about to die just like Amira said. Well he's not and you are not getting rid of him that fucking easy." Alonzo said grabbing her arm.
"Let me the fuck go. I'm tired of you defending him and patting Amira ass like she's a baby." Jalisha said snatching her arm.
"Well I tell you what. This is what you can do. Have your shit out my house by the time I get home and find you somewhere to go." Alonzo said and walked out the room leaving her standing there.
