Zoe looked at Kwan and just looked at him confused. She was lost for words. She didn't think he would see it like this.
"Answer me Zoe. My genes are very strong. And I don't see any of me. So I will ask you again. Is there something I need to know?"
"No there isn't. Maybe she looks like Amira cause I couldn't stand her my entire pregnancy."
Kwan just looked at her and then at the baby.
"Hell nah that don't sound right to me."
Before Zoe could respond there was a knock on the door.
"Come on in." Zoe said.
In comes Amira and Alonzo. This is about to get messy for me. I don't know how I'm about to clean this mess up but I got to try. I worked too hard to get where I am
for it all to go down.
Before they got in good to see the baby there was another knock on the door.
"Come in." Zoe said exhausted.
Now this is about to be a full blown mess. In comes Mandy and Jalisha.
"What are you doing here Jalisha?" Alonzo asked.
"Same reason you here. To see this baby. I want to make sure this is Kwan's baby just like you."
"No you don't you just want to be messy."
"Amira is my daughter too Alonzo."
"But you haven't been treating her like your damn daughter. You shouldn't be here and I think that you should leave."
"No I think she should stay. Cause obviously there's some truth that needs to be shined on here." Kwan said pissed.
"Excuse me son? Why would you say that to her?" Alonzo said looking puzzled.
Before he answered there was another knock on the door.
"Damn I'm tired of this fucking door being knocked on." Kwan said walking to the door and opening it.
It was Jackson and Zoe's sister Jasmine.
"Great now that everyone is here maybe we can get some damn answers here." Kwan said walking back to the chair and sitting down.
"Answers for what? What are you talking about baby?" Amira asked walking to his side.
"Look at this baby. And look well. Tell me what's wrong with this damn picture."
"Give me my damn baby Kwan!" Zoe yelled out.
"Nah I ain't giving you shit. Look Amira and look good baby and tell me what you see?"
Amira looks at the baby while Kwan held the baby to her. They both looked and looked and Amira finally saw what he was saying.
"I be damned. This can't be. Please tell me this ain't true?" Amira said hurt to the core.
"What's going on?"Jackson asked.
