A/N at the end

'"And when you're blue
I'm red
I wanna kiss your neck
& make you purple all over"

(**)

"Well!" A loud voice booms, jolting me awake. I stay laying down and look upwards, meeting a grinning Ashley. "What the hell is going on here?"

I glance upwards very carefully and see Luke rubbing his eyes. I'm tucked under his arm, which is curved around my shoulder, and laying right between this arm and shoulder.

I sit up, blushing, and rub my neck. His arms are really hard and make a crappy pillow.

"Nothing. We fell asleep." I shrug, untangling myself from him and standing up. Luke still seems a little surprised, sighing.

"Right." She's still grinning and glances at her watch. "I'll be in the kitchen."

As she leaves, the room fills with an awkward tension despite neither of us doing anything wrong.

The clock on the wall reads 1pm and I swear, wondering how both of us managed to sleep so late. I remember watching the movie and then literally nothing, meaning I must've just drifted off.

"Sorry. I didn't mean to fall asleep." Luke stands up, his shirt falling down his stomach.

"It's okay. We both must've been pretty tired after yesterday."

"So I'll see you tonight?" He picks up his jacket and shoes.

"For sure." I reply, watching him go. As he reaches the door he smiles, and pulls the door open.

"Hey Fray? You drooled on me." He shouts and closes the door behind him. I roll my eyes and self consciously wipe my mouth to check for any dry crust.

I seriously hope I didn't drool on him.

Ashley is making coffee when I arrive in the kitchen, seemingly glowing.

"Get it out of your head." I say, picking up a cup as I pass her.

"I'm not thinking anything!" She claims, following me.

"Whatever." I roll my eyes and go out he backdoor. We both sit on the porch swing and sip our coffee in silence.

"I thought you went with Kit? What happened?" Ashley finally asks, curling her legs beneath her.

I pull my own leg up, sighing. "I did go with Kit and it was great."

"That's good right?"

"It should be." I look at her and she frowns, confused. "He was nice and charming and literally everything you'd want in a boy."

"But?"

"I don't know. There just wasn't anything really there. I wasn't..I don't know. It just didn't feel like I should be there as his date- more like his friend." I explain and she nods.

"Maybe you like someone else?" She suggests. I laugh, putting down my cup. "Maybe Luke?"

"Luke?" I laugh again, rolling my eyes at her. Don't get me wrong- Luke is a hot guy. But he's my friend and I never really thought about the two of us like that so I always put it out my head.
