The bell rings, English is over.
I'm walking;
A baritone calls my name.
Hey, Willow.
My heart pitter patters.
Hey—
Jorge.
He kicks the lockers in the hallway.
I was wondering—
If you'd like to come to my party;
Tonight—as like my date?
His puppy dog eyes whimper.
I shove him into an empty classroom.
We've gone over this.
I whisper.
When are you going to tell her?
Never—it'd ruin everything.
He kisses the top of my head.
A day will come when you—
Are no longer daydreaming.
Come to the party.
I want to see you.
My heart wobbles.
Maybe—someday.
