Chapter 12

Jorge throws me against the wall of the shower.

He leans into my space and kisses a line up my neck.

I grab the back of his hair and pull,

Slamming my lips against his.

Our tongues duel.

For a moment,

I remember—

How good he makes me feel.

Lee and I arrived about forty-five minutes ago,

I couldn't help but find Big D.

He poured both of us drinks,

Then pulled me into the bedroom.

There were rose petals all over the bed,

After quickly stripping out of our clothing,

He dragged me into the shower whispering—

How he likes me better without the glamour.

When we make love, it's fast and angry.

But that is how we both like it.

I am always punishing him and he is always punishing me—

All because of Lee.

I moan into the caress against my breast and beg.

The man growls like hearing me cry—

Is the best thing on the planet.

He pulls me closer and lifts my leg.

When he doesn't enter, I find myself keening. 

But I look up and—

See Jorge's shocked expression.

I whine.

"Lee," he mumbles and lowers my leg.

My head swings around so fast I swear I have whiplash.

Lee's standing there with a stain on her dress—

From the dropped solo cup on the floor.

I open the shower door,

Jorge grabs my arm, his eyes pleading.

With a shaking head, I throw on a towel—

To chase Lee through the bedroom.

I corner her against a dresser,

Telling her to wait one second.

She slaps me. Straight up,

Bitch slaps me across the face.

Then her lips are on mine, and—

I'm so shocked—I don't know what to do.

She pulls me closer with a moan,

I find myself falling.

Then as quickly as she kissed me,

She pulls away and runs out the door.

Jorge shouts. 

The wall behind him—a casualty.
