That One Stupid Dream

After Infinity War. Tony survived I swear.

Tony's POV

I don't wanna go please sir I don't wanna go I don't wanna go!

Peter crumbled in Tony's arms while he could do nothing but watch.

I'm sorry.

The events of Infinity War flooded back to Tony's mind. He jerked up in his bed and realized he had slept till almost noon. Oh god, he needed to see Peter. He was gonna have a panic attack soon without him. Then he realized that Peter was in school.

Tony jumped into one of his suits and flew towards Peter's school. No, he thought, Peter is back, he's not on Titan, Thanos is dead. But he just couldn't convince himself. He arrived outside Peter's school's cafeteria where all the kids were eating lunch. They looked surprised to see Iron Man land on the Soccer Field. The teenagers ran out in curiosity and confusion and started to mob around Tony who had just gotten out of the suit which. The crowded around, shouting questions and asking for autographs and Tony was about to pass out when Peter shoves his way through the crowd, not caring about not using his super-strength on civilians. He pushed the crowd away from Tony and engulfed him in a hug, which really calmed him down.

"It's okay Mr Stark, I'm still here. Thanos died remember? You snapped his army away. We're all fine thanks to you. I'm alive as well, deep breaths Tony, calm down." Peter's voice soothed his nerves and Tony was calm and not worried again.

"It was that dream wasn't it?" Peter asked.

"Yeah, it sucked." Tony replied half heartedly.

"Okay, lets get you back to the tower now." Peter stepped into the Iron Man suit and picked Tony up, blasting away into the sky towards their home.
