Heyo folks real sorry that I haven't been updating much since school and hockey has really caught up to me. Also I was sucked into the world of lotr fanfics and had to pull myself out. Sry abt that I'll try to update more.

Harley Keener had shown up in the tower two weeks ago. From then on, Mr Stark only had eyes for him. Peter was forgotten. He tried to gain their attention by doing good in school and saving more people as Spider-Man and making better stuff in the lab but nobody ever spared him a second glance. He felt ignored and like he was a burden and nuisance.

So he decided to leave.

He wrote a note:

Mr Stark,

It's been a while since you actually talked to me. Yeah, I know Keener is more important to you than me even after all we've been through together. Thank you so much for making me feel like an unwanted nuisance and stupid burden in the presence of my used-to-be surrogate father. I will be leaving now. Suit is in the old equipment storage. Goodbye and have fun with your new interest.

-Peter Parker, now your unfriendly neighborhood Spider-Man.

Peter left the tower without looking back.

He didn't know where to go then. He had a bag of his stuff and some money and food. Aunt May had died a couple of years prior and Tony had taken him in. Peter had accidentally heard him say to someone that he was planning on actually adopting Peter but now he knew it would never happen.

His feet carried him to Starbucks, the nearest place with free WiFi.

There, he sent an email to Hammer Industries:

Hello Mr Hammer,

I was the former intern of Anthony Stark of Stark Industries. I have recently resigned my role due to a conflict between us and I wanted to ask you for the role of your personal intern. I have knowledge of how Stark Industries functions and its secrets to success and I would gladly tell you them. I also have insight to the Avengers as well as Stark himself and I would love to share this information with you.

With me by your side, we will make Hammer Industries better than ever before and potentially surpass all of our competition.

Awaiting your reply,

Peter Parker

Peter looked out the window of the coffee shop towards the giant building of Hammer Industries.

He would actually love to work there.

He gathered his remaining money and got a room at a small motel for a few nights. Food was included so it was pretty good, if Hammer Industries actually accepted him into that position.

So he decided to wait.

Fortunately for him, he got the response the very next morning:

Dear Mr Parker,

It would be a genuine pleasure for me to have you as my personal intern. Please come by to the main building today at 3:00 today if you have time. If not, send an email to me and I would gladly arrange some other time for us to meet.

Best regards,

Justin Hammer

Peter grinned. He sent a quick reply to say that he would be there and packed his stuff. He sit on the bed and waited for the time to come for him to leave and start his new life.
