Nobody had ever, ever known that the great Tony Stark was claustrophobic and had severe PTSD from Afghanistan.
Except for Peter.
No, Tony never told anyone but Peter figured it out. He knew the symptoms since he also had PTSD and he found out that Tony was claustrophobic when Clint had played a prank on him, locking him in a wooden crate and shipping him to Brooklyn. Peter had rescued Tony in the middle of the delivery and Clint was stuck on the ceiling upside-down for weeks after that incident.
But now, the team was currently angry at Tony for not following orders during a mission.
An army of robots had attacked the city. The Avengers has fought off as much as possible when Peter, Wade and Matt had focused on saving the civilians.
Then the problem came. A huge building was about to fall and Tony was the only one who saw it happen in time. He was teamed up with Clint and in the hopes of saving more people, Tony had left his teammate alone to fend for himself while he got the people in the building evacuated and stopped the concrete structure from falling onto the battlefield.
But Clint didn't do so well in a one man stand situation. He had a broken arm and a sprained ankle by the time Tony had came back and taken him out of harms way. He was taken to the MedBay and they had finished the battle without him.
Though everyone else was pissed at Tony.

Tony had thought that the others were angry because he didn't help Clint. He walked into the living room after he had repaired his suit and surveyed everyone.
"Is Clint okay?" He asked. The question was directed to Nat but Steve answered.
"Yes." Tony could see his neck muscles visibly tense. Bruce was by the window, refusing to look at him. Thor was playing around with Mjölnir and couldn't be bothered. Steve and Nat was giving him a death glare.
"I get it, you're all angry at me." Tony concludes.
"You get it? Now you get it?! When would you learn to follow orders, Stark?! Clint got Hirt because of your carelessness and now you get it?!" Steve exploded.
"What's wrong with me trying to save more people?!" Tony shouted back, "a building full of civilians survived because I was there!"
"And you left Clint." Nat said, looking deadly. "So to you, saving a building full of people is more important than saving your own teammate."
"It depends." Tony answered.
"That's it." Nat got up lightning fast and pressed a finger into Tony's back, temporarily immobilizing him. She grabbed his collar.
"Whenever you learn, you will get out." She growled. Nat dragged Tony to a supply closet where they stored equipment and threw him in, locking the door.
After a few minutes, Tony could feel his limbs loosen up. He looked around, trying to see his hands or shirt but could only see darkness.
"JARVIS, unlock the door." He said in a shaky voice.
"JARVIS?" No response.
At this point Tony was close to a panic attack. He hated small spaces and being in the dark. Courtesy to Afghanistan.
"Help..." he curled into himself, "somebody help!" He screamed.
Suddenly, there was water everywhere, suffocating him. Flashed of his memory went through his brain: the torture, the cave, Yinsen.
