After Homecoming, Peter managed to keep the secret of the warehouse collapsing on him from Mr Stark for a while. He did not contact him, fortunately and Peter never texted him. It had been a while since Happy spoke to Peter as well. He found it kind of strange.

Tony was kinda mad (read: furious). The kid had disobeyed him yet again and put himself in danger once more. He had fought the Vulture and crashed a plane. Now, Fury was showing him video clips of Peter fighting the Vulture on the plane and in the sand. He finally saw the warehouse moment where Peter was getting crushed and shouting for help. But none came. Seriously?! He just had to disobey direct orders from Iron Man to do what he wanted?

Now, to say Tony was furious is an understatement.

He decided to pay the kid a visit.

Ned was sick today so school really sucked. May was out at her job so Peter had nothing much to do except homework and studies. After finishing his work, he climbed up the rickety old fire escape once again to the roof of the apartment building. He stood on the edge for a moment, feeling the wind rush through his hair and listening to the noises of traffic and people shouting. Weirdly, he felt at peace. This was the only solitude he could ever get in his life ever since Ben died.

Peter sighed at the memory of him.

Then a thought popped into his head. What if he jumped, right now, without his web-shooters on? What if he didn't catch himself while swinging around?

No, he couldn't do that.

Sure, Peter was depressed. But he had to stay strong. For May's sake, at least. He had contemplated suicide a couple of times up to now but he had never actually done it. He knew he had the responsibility of keeping May safe. Peter decided on just sitting on the edge of the building.

Then, all of a sudden. He heard shouting from the alleyway not far from the building. He quickly scaled the side of the wall and landed lightly in the alley. There were a couple of muggers who cornered a woman and Peter immediately took action. He punched one guy out and ducked as the other swung a knife at his head. He rolled and kicked him in the knee, making him fall and swung his fist to meet the other guy. He caught the knife in his hand before it could reach the poor defenceless woman and pushed that guy back. He grimaced at the amount of blood on his hand from the knife wound and kicked the last mugger in the chest, sending him tumbling backwards.

Through all this, he didn't notice the Iron Man suit parked in the corner.

Peter wipes his hand hastily on his shirt and helped the woman up. She thanked him profusely and Peter offered to walk her home but she declined politely. After the lady was safely on her way Peter called 911 and told them where the mess was. He then cursed under his breath and ripped off part of his shirt and made a makeshift bandage for his hand, muttering some very colourful words about stupid muggers and not a moment of peace.

Then a red and black-clad figure jumps into the alley and Peter backs up again.

"Woah, Deadpool. I seriously don't want to die yet, not today." He said.

"I need the money, Spiderboy." Deadpool bartered.

"Okay, first of all, I need money as well. We're running short on the rent and I have to work long hours for the pay. Second, how the hell did you find out about my identity?" Peter asked.

"Your identity was from me spying on you for months. But I need that money to buy a gift for one of my good friends. Now, Spidey. I can kill you painlessly or painfully. Which one do you choose?" Deadpool smirked under the mask, pulling out his katanas.

"None." Peter grabbed a dagger from one of the fallen muggers and charged at Deadpool. The fight was quick. They exchanged blows and both got a bit scraped up. In the end, Peter did a roundhouse kick that knocked Deadpool out, for now. He then webbed him to the floor.

"Gotta go DP. Can't be late for dinner. Though I'm the only one at home." Peter chucked sadly and climbed the wall of the apartment building once more. He ran back home.

A few minutes after Peter got home, a knock was heard on the door.

"Ned, if you're sick you should be in bed. MJ, seriously? You had to come all this way to chew me out about missing decathlon?" Peter opened the door and saw Tony Stark leaning against the doorframe.

Needless to say, he was shocked.

"Uh, Mr Stark. What are you doing here?" Peter asked nervously.

"What does it look like?" Tony asked, "I'm here to talk with you."

"But, uh did I do anything wrong?"

"Did you do anything wrong?! You disobeyed me, the only person who was trying to keep you safe during your Spidermanning and go against the Vulture! You crashed a plane, fought Toomes, and got a warehouse dropped on you! I took away your suit for you to stop doing these dangerous things, not to keep doing them!"

It felt like the ferry incident again. Peter was really scared and Tony was extremely angry.

"I'm sorry," Peter said timidly.

"Sorry doesn't cut it!" Tony sighed, "give me your onesie."

"W-What?"

"Now."

Peter ran into the house and took out the old suit. He handed it to Tony.

"Wh-when will I get it back?" Peter asked.

"Never. You're done." Tony stepped into the Iron Man suit which was parked by the door. Maybe he had been a bit too hard on the kid. But it didn't matter now, what was done is done.

He blasted off, leaving a distressed teen in his wake.

That night, Peter didn't sleep well. He kept having recurring dreams about the events of the day. He was scared of Deadpool finding him some time and killing him, leaving his aunt alone to fend for herself in this world. Peter couldn't let that happen. Ever.

The next day, he went to school and told Ned what had happened. Ned was kinda angry at Tony for getting angry at his best friend for saving people.

Now that Peter thought of it, he got a bit angry as well. He was trying to help for gods sake! He had saved people while fighting Toomes and didn't let him steal the arc reactors!

Ned then suggested the brilliant idea of building another suit.

Peter agreed. But it took a while to get the right materials and make one. It was black this time and in Peter's opinion, it looked cooler than the two previous ones he had had.

Three months later, the suit was finished. Peter had gone back to his normal routines without much distraction from that day when he got into a conflict with Tony. Ned was very supportive and Peter was thankful for that.

The bad news was: Crime rates have increased by 56% without Spider-Man.

Peter didn't go out as Spider-Man yet. He didn't want to risk another meeting with Deadpool or Tony. Apparently DP didn't know where he lived so Peter was safe for the moment. He helped out his aunt more often and volunteered for social jobs.

Though the city wasn't the same without Spider-Man.

And everybody noticed that.
