Jimin pov
:another hanging scene so be warned:I didn't know what to expect, so instead I just braced myself for some terrifying monster to walk through that door and tear me to shreds.
"I think he's downstairs. I wouldn't make him wait much longer though," Jin muttered and disappeared without a trace. Before I left the room, I looked down and saw the two boys sleeping peacefully on the ground. Now that I knew its name, I prayed it didn't hurt my new friends or this family, I couldn't live with myself otherwise. My steps were slow and steady as I led myself out of the bedroom. Ive been slightly scared plenty of times, but I'd never thought I'd confront a demon so close to him. There wasn't many times I felt this way, but I'll admit I was absolutely terrified for this one.
When I walked downstairs my eyes landed in the living room, hoping to find Ms. Han and her daughters still fast asleep.
"Where the fuck did they go?!" I yelled, realizing they were nowhere to be found. There were no blankets or pillows showing they had been sleeping, they had just disappeared. I looked around anxiously, but saw nothing.
"Relax, I know where they are," I heard a voice say.
I spun around and jumped back as he stood only centimeters from my face. I took a good look at him, a bit surprised at what I saw. Was he possessing a host? He looked nothing like the demon I had met. He looked practically the same as the other demons here, just with some odd marks under his eyes. He ran his fingers through his hair and that's when I noticed the inverted cross on his forehead. I suddenly remembered what the Vatican told me when I was younger, and I realized why he was like that. I shook my head and tried to focus on what really mattered."Where are they?" I asked, clenching my first slightly out of anger.
"Tsk tsk, you drag me into this world to talk, and the little human girls are all you care about?"
"I just want to know what you did with them."
"Fine, if you wanna know so bad, check outside," he smirked, and I watched his eyes turn completely black, showing no emotion. My eyes widened in surprise and fear. I bolted outside without a second thought. As I made it down the front the steps of the porch, I gasped in shock, staring at the tree in front of me. Hanging from the large branch on three ropes was Ms. Han and her two daughters, all completely lifeless. Their eyes were open and glazed over. I felt my body freeze in horror.
The demon placed a hand on my shoulder before he spoke, "Hey, don't look so sad. You wanted me to unattach from them, so I did."
A few tears escaped from my eyes as my mind was spinning in circles. Not able to look up again, I turned to look behind me and watched the other demons appear beside this monster. Jin, Jungkook, and another boy I hadn't met gasped in shock when they realized what happened.
"Jimin! We heard something going on down-" Taehyung and Jhope rushed through the front door to meet me, but stopped a few feet behind the demons when they saw the scene in front of us.
"O-oh my god," Jhope nearly collapsed to the floor, but V's arms reached out and caught him, holding him up until he got the strength to do it himself. I looked over and met Taehyung's eyes, full of tears.
My gaze scanned over to the monster, who now had a huge sick smile on his face.My lips quivered out of fear, but I slowly gained a bit of strength as I turned my lips upwards into a smirk. The monster now looked at me with a puzzled look.
"J-Jimin? Why are you smiling?" Taehyung asked uneasily as he stood in the doorframe, Hoseok hiding slightly behind him.
I ignored him, and looked deeply into the monster's eyes, "It looks good I'll give you that. Tell me, did you learn that masking trick from your brother?"His eyes widened, and he took a step back.
My smirk turned into a full grin, "Oh come on, I know who you are Yoongi. Your brother is famous in the Vatican. He massacred all those nuns in Romania and every time the demonologists came to investigate he used his abilities to create hallucinations that those nuns were still alive. I'm pretty sure that's the opposite of what you're doing right now. So tell me, where are they?"
The monster's expression was unreadable at this point.
"Who do you think-"
He was cut off as I heard screaming from within the house. Taehyung and Hoseok went inside to investigate first. I quickly pushed through the four demons standing on the porch and ran inside."Nayeon? Seungyeon? Sunhwa? Where are you?!" I called out.
I heard banging coming from somewhere below as I bolted into the kitchen and noticed the basement door was locked shut. A few seconds passed as Taehyung and Hoseok appeared from the backyard door holding a pair of clippers they found outside. I grabbed the clippers out of V's hand and started fumbling to break the lock off the door. With little success I was suddenly met with screams erupting from behind me, Taehyung and Hoseok. I looked back quickly as I saw the two of them groaning in pain, laying on the ground ten feet from me. I knew that monster had thrown them against the wall as he appeared out of the corner of my eye. Before I could react he grabbed me roughly by my shirt collar.
"I'm not done talking to you" he muttered.
"Yeah? Well I'm done talking to you." I tried desperately to escape his grasp but he was just too strong.
The monster, Yoongi, snapped his fingers, and just like that Taehyung was hoisted up from the ground by an invisible force and forced onto his knees. Taehyung used both his hands and grasped his own neck, beginning to gasp for air.
"What are you doing to him?!" I screamed, scrambling to get away from the monster's grasp and save him.
"What? Is it not enough?" He asked sarcastically.
I watched desperately as Hoseok got himself off the ground and rushed over to help V. Suddenly he was thrown back against the wall once again, except this time Yoongi held him there, his body hovering off the floor. Before I could think, Jhope began convulsing, his eyes rolling in the back of his head.
"No stop! Please!" I begged, tears streamed down my eyes as I thought back to my childhood. I couldn't repeat this again.
"I'm sorry.... I'm so sorry. Please have mercy on them, I'll do anything," I cried, wrapping my palms around his cold hand that now had a merciless grip on my neck.
"Anything?"
I nodded vigorously.
"What was this deal you wanted to make? Tell me now before I snap both their necks."
I breathed heavily, looking at the two boys in pain. Neither of them were going to last much longer.
I took a deep breath and looked into the demons eyes once again. I had to remain calm or else he was going to try to take advantage of my emotions."Let my friends live. Unattach from this family. And.... attach to me instead."
He raised an eyebrow. "Why not your soul?"
"Souls only get you power in hell. By the looks of it you don't have any plans to return there. Attaching to a human and living off them gives demons like you the most power to survive in this realm. I'm a clairvoyant, I have more attachable power than practically any human on this planet. Just guarantee my friends' safety, and you and all your little demon servants can attach to me."
He thought deeply as his grip on my throat slightly loosened. I heaved a sigh of relief when I heard the thud of my friend's bodies hitting the floor instead of the loud snap of their necks. The monster released his grip on me and snapped his fingers, magically unlocking the basement door. I tried to catch my breath as I rushed downstairs. I was peacefully met with the three women huddled in the corner together.
"Is it safe?" Ms. Han whispered, arms tightly wrapped around her daughters.
I gave an encouraging nod as I led them to the steps. Suddenly I felt a massive weight on my shoulders, nearly pulling me to the ground.
Ready to have some fun Jimin? I heard the voice in my head speak.
I squinted my eyes as not only did my head start beating painfully, but my ears began ringing out of control as well. I let out a small sigh as I realized the monster was going to torture me the same way his brother tortured all those other human souls. And the worst part, I'm the only one who knows who he truly is.
A/n: I got busy so only one update today. Now things are starting to heat up, I'm excited.
