Taehyung pov
Jimin instructed us to follow him again as we retrieved our bags placed near the entrance and carried them upstairs. We passed by one bedroom in particular with its door left open. The walls, the curtains, the bedding, everything was covered in black.
"Woah is that your room?" I asked.
Jimin nodded, "It's the only room I'm allowed to personalize and make my own in this house."
"I've never seen someone in such a religious profession loving the color black so much. Ain't it a little satanic?" I asked as I looked back at Jimin.
I looked him up and down and for the first time I realized what he's even been wearing this whole time. Since the day we met he wore a simple black shirt and ripped black jeans. He wore silver chains around the back pockets of his jeans and his converse were black as well. It was kind of late to be analyzing him, but at first glance I couldn't tell he was religious at all. The only thing that didn't scream dark and rebellious was his frazzled blonde hair that went above his eyes, the Vatican patch on his shirt, and his innocent smile. He was the oddest church worker I've ever laid my eyes on to be quite honest.
As he glanced at me, I noticed that around his neck he wore a silver cross necklace. The only problem was that it was inverted. That wasn't right.
He looked down, noticing what I was staring at and tucked the necklace under his shirt.
"Your cross is wrong Jimin, is the demon forcing it to be upside down?" I asked confused.
He thought for a second, I saw him panicking to find an explanation. After a while he nodded his head, "It's probably him."
A few seconds passed without anyone looking at each other. I glanced up to meet Jimin's eyes, and suddenly they turned pitch black. His smile was different now, evil. He spoke but his words came out with a darker tone, crooked almost.
"It wasn't me that messed with his necklace pricks. Pretty boy here has some secrets. Too bad he's got his mind all locked up for me. I can't seem to get in and figure him out."
Me and Hoseok jumped back as he spoke, nearly falling and hitting the floor.
"G-give him back!" I yelled panicked.
The demon inside Jimin gave a low chuckle.
"Calm down you little brats. I just wanted to see how far I could get in. I wasn't sure if I could possess someone who's mind is blocked. I guess I got my answer," he smiled.
I reached into my bag and grabbed the new bottle of holy water Jimin had gave us before we left. I twisted the cap off but by the time I threw a bit on Jimin the demon was gone.
Now soaking wet, Jimin used the bottom of his shirt to wipe the water off his face. As he glanced back over to us we sat that his eyes were now back to normal.
"Thanks guys but you're a little late. Besides, didn't you hear me when I said holy water doesn't do shit besides let you know the demon's there?"
"J-Jimin? Are you good now?" Hoseok asked, taking a few steps closer to him and resting his hand on Jimin's shoulder.
Jimin nodded, "I guess I got panicked for a second. I didn't think he'd be able to slip in so quickly. I mean, my emotion shifted, but Im not even close to being as emotionally weak as most humans are when the demon manages to start taking over. He's even more powerful than I thought was imaginable."
"Where'd he go than? Why didn't he stay?" I asked.
"He must not be able to keep control for too long. Usually demons have to slowly work themselves up to full possession. I'm assuming he's still a bit weak, but I could be wrong about that too. This is very bad. He's way too far ahead of the curve. No normal demon could've taken me over in such a short time frame."
