Taehyung pov
When Jimin had come back up from the basement I had just managed to get back up to my feet and catch my breath. He looked at me and I instantly knew something was wrong. I couldn't tell if that look in his eyes was one of distress or possession and honestly I didn't really know the difference. I was too busy being choked earlier to understand what kind of deal he had made.
I had to do something, but my thoughts were ushered away as Ms. Han and her daughters emerged from the basement as well.
"The demons in this house shouldn't be bothering you anymore Ms. Han. You can sleep well," Jimin gave a small smile as he turned back to look at her.
"What did you do? Did you exorcise them?" She asked him.
He shook his head lightly, "Just know that they're gone."
A sigh of relief escaped her lips. "Thank you so much for helping us. If there's anything we can-"
"No Ms. Han. We're glad we could help. We'll just take our stuff and be leaving," he said, almost as if he was in a rush.
She nodded and I watched from a distance as Jimin turned to head upstairs. Jhope looked at me, "Do you know what happened to him?"
I shook my head, "Go upstairs with him. I have an idea."
He gave me a nod before turning to follow Jimin up the stairs.
I crept into the living room and got into one of Jimin's bags. Inside I was pleased to find his last bottle of holy water. I poured it into two cups and carried them upstairs."Hey guys, I figured you guys were thirsty after such a battle so I made you both a glass of water."
Jhope smiled and grabbed them out of my hand, handing one to Jimin who returned with a small nod.
Jhope gulped his cup down and I watched closely as Jimin took a small drink. His eyes didn't change."Jimin?" I asked.
He glanced up at me, "What?"
"Are you Jimin?"
He raised an eyebrow, "Yeah?"
"Why are you acting so weird?" I asked.
"Did you not hear anything that happened in there?" He stared at me confused.
I shook my head, "Sorry I was too busy being magically choked to death by a demon."
"I don't know what that demon did to me but it felt like a seizure. To be honest I didn't hear a word either," Hoseok explained.
Jimin set the cup down quietly and began grabbing his stuff from beside the bed to place in his bag.
"I'll tell you on the way back," he muttered.
I nodded as we both started packing our bags as well.
The sun was beginning to rise as we placed our stuff into the back of the car. A few minutes passed as Ms. Han and her two daughters thanked us once again for helping. We waved to them as we pulled out of the driveway.
We were on the road in silence for about 20 minutes when Jimin spoke up, "So? How did it feel to finish your first case without dying?"
His smile was small, and as he glanced over at me I knew he was still there somewhere. But, I also knew something was seriously wrong as well."It would've been better if we didn't have to worry about what happened to you. There's no way you could get those demons out of the house in two days without our help. The Vatican told us you could spend weeks on one case. Something happened, now tell us," I said a bit assertively.
He focused his eyes back on the road.
"Please Jimin, If you don't tell us we'll only assume the worst," Jhope spoke up from the seat behind me.
The only good thing to happen within the last 12 hours was Hoseok took too long to pack and I got to call shotgun before we left.
"Tell me how you guys are doing first. With what that demon did to you, maybe I should have you guys checked out at the hospital."
