Carson's POV
I pocketed my phone as soon as I sent the last text to Kayla and took out my car keys. I began to twirl the keys in my hands as I walked over to my car that was in the parking lot.
As I neared my car, I noticed that someone was leaning against it with their arms crossed. I narrowed my eyes at the person as I got closer. I felt anger rise in me as I saw that the person was none other than Oliver Ross.
"How did you know which college I attend?" I asked in annoyance as soon as I was standing in front of him.
Oliver chuckled. "I have my ways. Don't worry about that."
"What do you want?" I demanded, losing my patience.
"You know exactly what I want, so let's cut to the chase shall we?" He asked as he removed himself from my car and stand up straight.
"You wasted your time because my answer is still the same," I replied.
"There is a fighting arena just a half-hour drive from here. That is where I fight now." Oliver went on as if I hadn't spoken. "Meet me there for one match and I'll be out of your hair."
"You have a serious problem, Oliver and I'm not going to feed it by fighting you. Now get out of my way!" I said as I clicked the unlock button and open the driver's side door.
Oliver stepped in front of me again and slammed the door shut again. "You can play the cowardice all you want, but rest assured, I'm not going to give up until I get my deserved victory." Oliver retorted, stepping threatening towards me.
I stood my ground and look him straight in the eyes. We stood giving each other the cold stare for a few seconds before I said. "We're done here."
Oliver laughed viciously as he stepped aside. "You're making a big mistake, Carson. I never back down. I'll get my revenge. You'll see."
"Don't bet on it," I said as I opened my car door again and got inside. I gave Oliver one last look before I sped away.
He stood with a sinister grin on his face, watching the car till it was out of sight.

Kayla's POV
I closed my textbook with a contented sigh. Our assignment was completed. At the end of classes on Thursday, Travis and I went to the lab to finish our assignment and I was glad that after two hours, we were done with everything. I was happy with what we did too because this assignment was worth forty percent of our final grade.
"We're done," I said with a grateful smile as I put my books in my bag.
"All done," Travis said, getting up from his stool to clear away the pieces of equipment that we were using.
"After three long weeks of doing these experiments. I'm glad that I won't have this assignment on my hands again." I replied.
Travis put away the last of the test tubes before coming back to the table to put his books in his bags. "You know, to be honest, I enjoyed every minute of it."
I lifted an eyebrow at him. "Really?"
"Yeah, because I got to spend a lot of time with you." He confessed.
"Oh." Was all I could say when I realized that he wasn't trying to make a joke.
"Speaking of which." He added after a while. "We have been here for two hours working on experiments; would you like to go to the cafe that is a couple of blocks from here, so we could get a cup of coffee together?"
Knowing where he was going with this invitation, I gave him an apologetic smile. "Thanks for offering Travis, but I can't." I said, then added after. "You must know, I have a boyfriend."
His smile faltered a bit. "Ohh. I shouldn't have been surprised. A lovely girl like you would have a boyfriend. I'm sorry."
"It's okay. You don't have to apologize." I said.
He looked at me for a short while, before saying. "He is a very lucky guy."
"Actually, I'm the lucky one." I admitted in all honesty.
Travis' smile returned brightly. "Well, in any case, let me at least walk you partway to your dorm since it's on the way to my dorm." He suggested, taking up his books and bag.
"Sure. Let's go." I slung my bag over my shoulder and got up from the stool I was sitting on.
We walked together for about two minutes before we reached the part where Travis and I split ways. He waved goodbye to me and turned in the direction of the male's dormitory. I continued straight to my dorm.
"Kayla!" I heard a shout behind me. I turned around and saw Jasmine walking quickly to catch up to me. When she reached up to me, she slowed down and started to walk at my pace. "Was that Travis I see you walking with?"
"Yeah," I replied.
"You know, he is always hanging around you. I think he has a thing for you." Jasmine stated, looking at me.
"Maybe, but he knows that I have a boyfriend, so it's all good now," I reassured.
Jasmine just nodded her head before we lapse into another conversation for the remaining two minutes of our journey.
When we reached our dorm and room, Jasmine opened the door. "By the way," Jasmine said when we stepped in. "Lucas told me that we won't be meeting up tomorrow. He said that his class is going on a trip and will be back late."
"Yes, he called and told me." I replied. "Speaking of phone calls, Aunt Eloise called this morning when you left. She sent greetings to you."
Jasmine smiled. "Oh, that's great. How is she by the way?" She asked.
"She is doing great," I answered as I retrieved my laptop bag from off my bed and took out my laptop.
"That's good. Please tell her hello for me the next time you talk to her." Jasmine said.
I looked around at Jasmine as I noticed that she was putting on a jacket. "Where are you going?" I asked.
"I'm going to meet up with Eli. He told me he had a surprise to show me." She explained.
"That's great. Have fun." I said. Jasmine waved at me as she went back through the door once again. When she closed the door behind her, I turned my attention back to my laptop. I was planning on killing a few hours by continuing to watch the television series, The Originals.
