"Thanks, Travis, I didn't notice that I left it," I said to Travis as I took my textbook from him.

As soon as my final class for the day ended, Carson had texted me, telling me that he was in the parking lot. I left the lecture hall in a hurry, not noticing that I left my textbook. Travis caught up to me halfway across the parking lot to give it to me.

"No problem," Travis replied. "I'll see you on Monday. Have a good weekend."

"Thanks and you too," I replied. Travis smiled at me brightly. "Okay bye." I waved at him before turning around.

"Bye," Travis said as I walked away from him. I scanned the parking lot quickly and I noticed Carson's car near the entrance. He stood outside his car waiting for me. I smiled and waved at him as I walked in the direction in which he parked his car.

Since I won't be going to the cafe with my friends this week, Carson had promised that he would pick me up at school and take me with him to a bar. Well, I practically begged to go with him as I wanted to do something I've never done before.

When I reached him, I stood on tiptoe and kiss him on his lips. "Hey," I said with a smile.

"Hi." Carson wrapped his arms around me in a hug. "I haven't seen you in a whole week."

"Yeah, that's true." I acknowledged.

"So, are you ready to go?" He asked.

I nodded my head. "Yep."

When Carson and I entered the bar and lounge, his friends were already there. They sat on a barstool around the counter with their back to the door.

We walked over to where they sat. "Hey, guys." I greeted them when we stand behind them.

They turned around when I spoke. "Hi, Kayla!" Michael greeted. "It's been a long while since I've seen you. How have you been?"

"As good as can be," I responded with a smile. I walked over and stand between Jayden and Jordan. Resting my hands on both their shoulders, I move in closer to them. "How about you two? Still making trouble?"

Both their faces broke out in a similar mischievous grin. "As always." They said together.

I laughed at that. "Of course you are." I sat down on a stool beside the guys and Carson took a seat beside me.

"What do you want to drink?" Carson asked me.

"Anything that's nonalcoholic," I answered.

"Have you had a Shirley Temple before?"

"No. I've heard about it and always wanted to try it," I replied.

Carson smiled. "Well then, you'll love it."

"A Shirley Temple it is then," I said.

"What? No alcohol?" I heard Michael say cheekily.

I turned towards him with a glare. "Alcohol is not for me as you are well aware. As I can recall it didn't go over so well the last time I drank."

Carson chuckled. "No, it didn't."

I turned back in his direction and hit him on his shoulder. "Hey! I heard that." The other guys started laughing as well. I rolled my eyes. "Haha very funny."

As I waited for the drink that Carson ordered, I looked around the bar environment. It was a simple bar and it wasn't too crowded. There weren't any robust men hanging around, drinking and cursing. Only a few men and women were here enjoying a few drinks. The place was like a bar and lounge, so it was a comfortable space.
