When Carson's parents came back from his room, they told me that I could see him now. They then continued their conversation with Carson's doctor.
I got up from my seat and turned to look at Jasmine and the guys. They indicated that I should go ahead. I nodded my head at them and walked in the direction of Carson's room.
When I reached the doorway, I looked in to see him sitting up in his bed. He looked in my direction and smiled at me. All emotions rushed to the forefront once again and the next thing I know, I hurried over to his bedside and flung my arms around him.
"Carson." I whispered as I buried my head in his shoulders. I felt him wrapped his arms tightly around me. "I was so scared."
We stayed like that for a long while before he pulled back to look at me. "Are you okay? Did he hurt you?" He asked scanning my face intently.
I shook my head and smiled a bit. "I'm the one that should be asking you that." I replied as I sat on the bed, "I'm okay. He didn't hurt me. I'm worried about you."
Carson reached for my hand. "Look at me. I'm fine. Don't worry, this is nothing. I have no permanent damage. You don't have to worry about me, okay?"
I stayed silent just looking at him and I felt my eyes filling with tears again. Carson lifted his hand and wiped away a tear that escaped. "Kayla, it's alright. I'm okay, really."
I nodded my head and wiped at my eyes. "I know, it's just that..." I trailed off, not saying anything.
"Come here." Carson said and pulled me into a tight hug. I hugged him back tightly and let my tears flow freely.
"Please don't scare me like that again, okay?" I mumbled.
"I'm sorry I scared you." I pulled back from the hug and kiss him lightly on his lips, trying my best not to hurt his bruised lip.
When I was moving away, he pulled me back to him to deepen the kiss. "Your lip...I don't want to hurt it," I whispered softly, my lips mere inches away from his.
"I don't care, just kiss me." He whispered before reconnecting our lips again.
We were interrupted by a soft knock on the door. "I hope we're not interrupting anything." Jordan said as he entered the room smiling. Carson and I pulled apart and turned our attention to the boys entering the room.
"It's good to see you sitting up bro. How are you feeling?" Michael asked.
"I'm good. I feel better than I look." Carson responded. They each walked over and did the guy hug. "The doctors said that I'm lucky."
"That's good to hear man." Jordan said as he took a seat in the chair that was beside the bed. "We heard what happened. There is no way Oliver is going to get away with doing that to you. We got your back."
"Yeah, he was lucky we couldn't find him." Jayden added in a hard tone.
Carson shook his head. "Leave it be. I don't want to prolong this feud."
I turned to look at Carson surprised by his response and by the look of the other guys, I wasn't the only one.
"What? Dude, are you serious?" Jayden asked.
