Dinner is Served

"Mmm! That smells so good! My mouth is watering just seeing the tray!" Shoto brings the tray of food, received at the small folding table located between the room door and the main one, filling the room up with a poignant scent of cooked meals.

"Here, Midoriya. This one's yours." Shoto places Deku's food in front of him after they had put some cushions on the ground near the short table. Shoto sits on the opposite side of Deku, digging into his chicken teriyaki, savoring every distinct taste. Deku, on the other hand, sits with his bowl in front of him, feeling as if something is missing.

"I'm kinda thirsty, Todoroki-kun. Are there any... drinks in this room?" Shoto swallows his bite before he answers Deku's question.

"I believe there is a small vending machine in the cupboard near the TV. Go check it out." Deku lifts himself up with a hand on the table, making his way to the short cupboard, opening it up and finding all types of drinks from bottled water, to juices and, of course, beer and sake. Every one of them costs ¥500.

"Hm! There is some strawberry juice in here! Is it ok if I get it?" Deku shoots a glance towards Shoto, who looks back at him.

"It depends on how much it costs, Midoriya. I don't want to spend an insane amount of money."

"Every drink in here seems to cost only ¥500, Todoroki-kun. Do... you want anything?"

"Not right now, thanks. Just grab your juice and eat your food. It will get cold if you think about those drinks for too long." Deku nods his head and presses the little red button on the little door which encases the strawberry juice. He opens it on the way back, sets it down on the table, and sits down. He then picks up his chopsticks and starts to eat, closing his eyes in pleasure.

"Oh my gosh! This is so good, Todoroki-kun! I don't think I've ever tried such a great pork cutlet bowl in my whole entire life!" Deku starts gobbling up his food, and Shoto looks up to him, placing a hand on his boyfriend's wrist.

"You're going to choke if you keep eating like that, Midoriya. Please, slow it down."

"But it's so good, Todoroki-kun!" Deku talks with food in his mouth, "And plus, I'm also quite hungry." Shoto only shakes his head at Deku, smiling a little bit.

"That's the point, Midoriya. Enjoy your food. Don't eat like there's no tomorrow." Deku pauses his eating for a minute, asking Shoto about his own food.

"H-how is your food, by the way? Is it anything special?" Shoto simply shrugs his shoulders, looking down at his food.

"It's not anything special, to say the least. It might be just a little better than what we eat at home." The boys eat their dinner until everything is gone, including any crumbs of food and sauces. Soon, it is time to choose dessert.

"Those crêpes look amazing, Don't they Todoroki-kun?" Deku speaks with wide eyes, expression in his voice.

"You're right, Midoriya. They do look very good, but so do those mini cakes. There are three flavors including matcha, chocolate, and strawberry."

"I am getting that deluxe chocolate crêpe, Todoroki-kun. It looks so good!" A drop of drool forms at the corner of Deku's mouth as he looks at the crêpe, full of chocolate, strawberries and banana slices.

"That's fine with me, Midoriya. Let me just place this tray outside for pickup." Shoto sets the empty food bowls down on the tray, asking for Deku's help.

"Will you please get the door for me, Midoriya? My hands are kind of... full..." Deku jumps up and jogs to the door in a few quick motions. Shoto follows close behind, walking out of the room, placing the tray on the little flip-out table located in the middle area between the main door and the room door.

"Right, Midoriya. Time for dessert. Have you decided yet?" Deku only giggles.

"I already told you that I'm getting the crêpe, Todoroki-kun! You're the one who still needs to decide on something!"

He's right. He's being going on about that dessert nonstop. Perhaps a slice of cake will satisfy me.

"Yeah, I think I'll take the matcha cake. Green tea sounds perfect." Shoto orders the two desserts at a click of a button. Just like with their dinner, there are two knocks at the door.
