---Wilson---

It was the first day on the job and I hadn't coped with my past recently. I walked out of the classroom colliding with one of the students. She was talking to her friend instead of paying attention. "Watch it." she said.

"You should have been pay attention." I said.
"You both should have." her friend told us both. I watched her take a seat in the front row right beside my desk. I smirked and walked down to the bathrooms.

Upon my return, security ran passed me and into my classroom. I jogged to the door and saw the girl on the floor with her friend holding a towel to her nose. A man two times the tiny girl's size standing over her. "Get him out of my classroom." I stated suddenly feeling overprotective of the girl that was rude to me only ten minutes before.

"Your classroom? You're the instructor?"

"Student teacher." I replied.

"Let's get her taken care of." the security guard said. Her friend helped her up and out the door.

---Katrina---

"Holy shit, he's hot."

"You're tellin' me. It's too bad he's probably married or has a girlfriend."

"You never know." Jamie said.

After class, I was walking down the street while carrying my books and hauling around my bag. I heard a car pull up and looked over my shoulder. It was the student teacher. "Hey, do you need a ride home?"

"Sorry, I don't know you." I said.

"So you'd rather carry 6 books and carry around a heavy book bag?"

"Better than risking my life to ride with a stranger."

"I know your name and you know mine."

"For all I know you could be a sex offender."

"Do I really look like a sex offender?"

"What's a sex offender supposed to look like?" he asked.

"Why don't you tell me?" I retorted.

"Come on, please, get in its supposed to rain."

"I'm fine."

"How far do you live from here?"

"20 minutes."

"Really? Katrina, you'll get sick."

I gave in and got in his car just as it started to rain. "Happy?"

"Yeah." I told him my address. "So, how old are you?"

"How old are you?"

"Twenty four."

"I'm 21."

"Ooh you're legal. Want to get a drink sometime?"

"I don't drink."

"Me either." He smiled. "Is this your first year of college?"

"I went to a community college before."

"What's your major?"

"High school education."

"Awesome." he pulled up at my apartment.

"Thanks for the ride." I said.

"You're welcome."

---Wilson----

She got out of my car and grabbed her stuff. "Have a good night." I told her.

"You too."

I pulled into the garage of my house and went inside. I turned on the TV and put it on the news. We were under a tornado warning. The siren went off around midnight, I jumped in my car and drove to Katrina's appartment complex. The tornado had already hit. I saw her sitting in the ambulance shaking in the cold. "Katrina?"

"Wilson? What are you doing here?"

"I saw that the tornado hit. I just wanted to come see if you are alright."

"No, I lost everything."

"Do you have a place to stay?"

"No. Jamie's with her boyfriend." I handed her my jacket and she followed me to my car. She sat in the passanger seat and eventually fell asleep, her head resting on my shoulder. She was still shivering.

I was making breakfast in the morning when Katrina woke up. She walked in. "Good morning."

"Thanks for letting me stay here."

"You're welcome. Are you hungry?"

"Starving." she said sitting down. I made her a plate and set it in front of her. "Thank you." She said.

"No problem."

"So, am I supposed to call you Mr. Creighton?"

"You can call me Will or Wilson." I responded sitting across from her.

A/N: Short chapter, but they should get better. I have some ideas.
