---Katrina---
After Zula and Max died in the tornado, Brad sent the puppies off to his mom and dad's house. We were currently staying at Marci and Kevin's house while Brad waited for the paperwork on the new house we agreed on. Marci and I were at the house going through some stuff that could be saved. She didn't want me to do any of the heavy lifting. It had been a week since I lost my dog. Brad didn't know what to do, because no matter what, I blamed myself. "Girl, there isn't anything that we can save." Marci said. "You're pretty much the same size as me, you can have my maternity clothes."
"No, you need those."
"So do you honey. You can borrow them whatever you need. You know you can have."
"No, Brad's supposed to take me shopping. I'm not even supposed to be back here."
"I know, Kevin said you were on bedrest, only a few hours on your feet a day. Let's go back to the house." She said helping me step over stuff. We got back to the house and went inside. I was sitting in the recliner, half asleep with my hand resting on my baby bump and my feet tucked under me. I felt a blanket being put over me.
Brad came home, I was sitting in the kitchen with Marci, Marci saw him come in. "Make sure you tell him the truth." She said and went into the living room with Kevin and the kids.
"Tell me what?" he asked rolling up his sleeves.
"We went by the house today."
"What?"
"I just..."
"Trina, I told you to stay away from there. It's dangerous."
"I know, Brad..."
"You put yourself and the baby in danger. Didn't you think about your safety before you went there? Think about the baby?"
"I was thinking about the baby. You're the one telling Kevin that we can't afford stuff I was just looking to see if there was anything that can be saved. I know I could have got hurt and I know that I was risking the baby's health, but at least I'm not walking around here saying how broke we are after buying that house. You are apparently at work all the time now, where's all this money that you supposedly are bringing in?"
"There is somethings we can't get right now Trina."
"But you can afford to eat breakfast and lunch every day?" I asked. "That can go to stuff we do need."
"You know that $150 we spend on getting your dogs cremated could have went to something more important."
"You didn't have to let me do it. You sure as hell didn't have to stop me from trying to save Zula."
"I didn't have to do a lot of things." he snapped back.
"Right now I really wish you didn't." I said and went upstairs.
---Brad---
I went out the back door and ran my wolf.
I returned back two hours later, Kevin, Marci, and my dad were sitting outside with the kids. I saw Dr. Richards car in the driveway. "What's going on?"
"Katrina's in a lot of pain." my dad said.
"Why'd you have to yell at her? She just wanted to try to find some things that can be saved so you two didn't have to worry about replacing. She can't work and you've left before she's even gotten up in the morning. What else is she supposed to do or think? Instead of avoiding her you should be comforting her. She's been through hell her whole life. I had to watch Wilson put her through it and I refuse to let her go through it with you." Marci said shoving passed me. She walked down the sidewalk and down the street. Kevin went with her.
