Chapter 21

---Riley---

The plane crash caused some burns, but I recovered fully.  I was able to go home.  My daughter was 2 years old and she didn't know me, but she will soon.  I pulled up in front of the house and heard giggling in the backyard.  I grabbed my bag and went into the backyard.  My little girl was playing with Alivia, my mom, and Alivia's mom.  She looked at me.  "Hi."  she said.  Alivia looked up.

"Hi."

"Riley."  Alivia said.  She ran to me.  I caught her in a hug.  She was crying.  I pressed my face into her neck.

That night, Jessica was asleep in my lap.  Alivia was in the kitchen.  I set Jessica on the couch and went into the kitchen.  "Are you hiding in here?"

I looked up.  "No."  I said washing dishes.  He touched my back.

"Do you want me here?"

"Of course I do."  I said.

"What's wrong then?"

"Nothing."  I said.

"Then take a break and come spend time with me."  he said.  The phone rang.  He answered it.  "Cameron residence."  he said.  "Oh.  Yeah, I'll tell her."  he hung up.

"Your date is waiting."

"What?"

"You have a date."

"Riley...."

"So I shouldn't be here."

"Riley, don't say that.  I don't know what you're talking about."  He grabbed his keys and walked toward the front door.  "Riley, please don't go.  I don't know anything about it."

"Where you going?"  Jessica asked him.  "You just got here."

"I have to go see grnadma and grandpa."  he said.

"Can I come with you?"

"If it's okay with your mom."

"Can I mommy?"

"Fine."  I said.

I went upstairs and grabbed my jacket.  I went back downstairs.  "Where you going?"

"If your going to accuse me then I might as well do it right?"  I said getting in my car.

I drove to my parents house instead.  I was sitting in the kitchen when my mom came in.  "What're you doing here?"

"Jr.'s girlfriend tried to set me up with a blind date.  They called the house and Riley answered.  Now he thinks I'm cheating.  He doesn't trust me.  I don't think he ever did."

"Don't say that."  my mom said.

"We argued before and whose to say we won't argue again."  she sat down beside me.

"Riley loves you.  He always has and he always will.  You pretty much just got him back and he just got you back.  He doesn't want to lose you again."
