"what's wrong?" lewis asked worriedly.

"nothing, i just want to be alone."

"you don't just get to shut me out like this, you know."

"i'm not shutting you out. i just need some space." charles raised his voice.

"space? from me? what did i do?"

"nothing, just leave me alone!" charles was no longer calm. he was almost shouting in lewis' face.

"charles, i'm not leaving until you tell me what's wrong, and don't try lying to me," lewis said with a stern voice but it didn't help. charles wanted to be alone. all alone.

"if you're not leaving, then i am." and he did. charles went to the front door and walked out of his monaco apartment, leaving lewis behind. the door closed with a loud bang that was stuck in lewis' head for hours. had he just lost the love of his life.

lewis stayed in charles' apartment, although he probably should head back to his own. he was waiting. waiting for charles. waiting for charles to come back. back to him. he wanted the young monegasque more than anything else. he was devastated. lewis drowned his sorrow in a bottle of whiskey he had found in the kitchen. it looked old and expensive and charles probably didn't want him to drink it, but he didn't care. he had to let go, just for a little while.

he didn't know how many glasses he had drunk, when he heard the front door being unlocked. he barely even heard the door open at all, but within a few minutes charles was standing in the living room. a drunk lewis in front of him on the ground with a bottle of whiskey in one hand and a glass, half full, in the other.

"i'm sorry," charles started, and lewis now noticed who it was that was standing above him. "i shouldn't have walked out. i shouldn't have asked you to leave. but i meant what i said, it wasn't your fault, you didn't do anything wrong. you never do. at least not to me."

"baby, i've missed you," lewis said with a slurred voice.

"i've missed you too." charles chuckled at how drunk lewis really was.

"no, no, no. i've missed you more. you're the bestestest boyfriend ever. i'm so lucky. so lucky." it looked like he could fall asleep any second while talking. charles kept chuckling. god, that boy was drunk. but that meant that charles would have to care for him in the morning, which he love.

"do you want to go to bed?"

"yeah, i think it's a good idea," lewis said while trying to stand up, but he kept falling over and spilling the whiskey on the floor. charles went over to him to help him and together they walked to the bedroom.

"you need to take off your clothes, babe," charles said but lewis just looked at him dumbfounded and he realised that he had to do it for him.

after helping lewis take his clothes, charles pushed lewis towards the bed. lewis was already sleeping by the time his head hit the pillow and after charles wrapped his arms around the drunk brit, he was also fast asleep.
