LOVE IS A weird concept. An intense feeling of deep affection. A great interest and pleasure in something or someone. It is the brain releasing hormones, making one fall in love with someone, but if it is just the brain playing mindgames, then why is love one of the strongest feelings one can have. The strongest feeling in the world. Why is love so powerful that it can be felt all throughout the body. A tingling sensation under the skull that moves all the way down the neck and shoulders and spreads out like fireworks to the arms and then pulses like blood through the abdomen to make one feel like they are floating on a cloud and then it cripples down the legs and ends with a toe curling pleasure. How can love be so intense, if it is just a release of oxytocin and a bunch of other hormones that are way too hard to spell and even harder to pronounce.
He makes you feel. He makes you feel the tingling under your scalp. He makes you feel the blood rushing through your arteries and veins. He makes you feel the butterflies in your stomach. He makes you feel all flushed and blushed. Do you make him feel the same way? The answer is yes. But while you are busy trying to hide your rosy cheeks, you do not notice him looking shyly away to avoid your eyes.
Everything about him draws you closer. From the way his hair flows to the way his eyes sparkle in the sunlight. And from the way he fiddles, when he is nervous to the smile across his lips that flashes that big white set of teeth. The rounded lips you dream about kissing. The soft skin on his cheek you dream about caressing. The strong body you dream about making your fingers trail all the way down of. He is tall. He is handsome. But not too tall, to the point where he might look like a basketball player and not a racing driver. And not too handsome that you would think he is fake in any way. He has his imperfections, but together these imperfections make him perfect. Perfectness in imperfectness.
For you, he is everywhere. Always with you. Always on your mind. Taking up space in your brain.
For him, you are everywhere. Always with him. Always on his mind. Taking up space in his brain.
It is an endless cycle if one of the two of you do not act. Soon. Should you make the move or let him do it. You want to, but you do not know if he feels the same way about you and that scares you. He wants to as well, but he wonders if you are falling as deep as he is. Two sides of the same stone. Already now, before your universes have collided and become one, you think alike, but soon. Soon, something will change.
And things do change. They always do. Nothing is final or finite, and life goes on. Most people do not like change. Some even fear it. But this change that is stirring your life up is not bad at all, not something to be feared, and it should not be be disliked or hated. Because this change is all you ever want. Now you have what you have always wanted to have. You have his flowing hair. You have his sparkling eyes. You have his smile. You have his plump lips. You have his soft skin. You have his strong body. You have everything that belongs to him, because now he belongs to you. You know now that love is more than just a chemical reaction in the brain. It is more than just a releasing of hormones. It is a feeling of longing, of wanting, of craving, of missing. And finally, it is a feeling of never being complete without the other person by your side.
