When You're Gone [Sequel to SOOS] [Laylor]

Chapter 17: Moving Day

"Pictures in frames of kisses on the cheek..."

-Taylor-

"I still can't believe you two are moving in together!" Kate squeals as she is helping me unpack the box of some of my clothes into Louis' closet. "Neither can I," I say with a smile on my face.

"I don't think this is clothing, Tay," Jess says and I look up to what she's holding. I blush at the photograph and snatch it from her hands. "Shut up," I say, but Kate and Jess just laugh and tease me.
I feel my blushing start to fade and I run my hand over the glass frame protecting the picture. Louis is kissing my cheek and I have my eyes closed but with a smile on my face.

It was a really cute picture and I didn't want it to get ruined so I put it in the middle of some packed up shirts, figuring that would cushion it.

Kate and Jess calm down and I roll my eyes at them. "God, you two are annoying," I mumble, loud enough for them to hear. Jess slaps my arm and I stick my tongue out at her, before taking a shirt out of the box I was unpacking and throwing it at her.
Jess gasps and picks up an article of clothing from her box and tries to chuck it at me, but she hits Kate instead. Kate glares at the two of us before grabbing clothes and chucking it at both of us. Pretty soon, we are chucking shirts and pants, and even my bras at each other.

"Hey girls are we ha-holy mother of unpacking what did you guys do?" I hear Louis and we immediately turn to the door, shoving the articles of clothing behind our backs. "We were just unpacking," Kate tries to cover up and I see Harry and Niall stand behind Louis.

"What the-" Niall starts and us girls start to giggle at Harry and Niall's shocked faces.

"Um, so we were coming upstairs to tell you we unpacked your living room stuff and your kitchen stuff, including the 20 cat mugs," Louis says and I feel myself blushing again.

As if on queue, I hear a meow and I look down at my feet to see a white scottish fold staring back up at me with blue eyes. I bend down and pick up Olivia and cradle her to my body.

"I can't help it, I'm a lonely cat lady," I say and Louis scoffs. "She says to her boyfriend. God, I feel so abandoned. C'mon boys, let's go back downstairs," Louis says and the boys head back downstairs.

I set Olivia down on the floor, glad that I brought my cats with me to move in to Louis' house.

"Shall we finish?" Kate asks and Jess and I nod as we start picking up the clothes off the floor.
I move over and set the picture onto the nightstand and admire it for a minute before going back to work.

Things were looking up.

I walk downstairs laughing with Jess and Kate. The boys are sitting on the couch watching a game of some sport. I see a flash of green and I'm assuming it's the Green Bay Packers, because Harry seems to be the one most into the game.
I turn to the girls and roll my eyes, they laugh and we go to sit on the couch.

I sit next to Louis and he wraps an arm around my shoulders, placing a kiss to my cheek. "Hey babe, you finish?" He asked me. I nodded. "Yeah, having the girls really helped to make things faster," I said and Louis smiled.

"Hey guys, you up for a picnic?" Harry asked and we all nodded. "Great, Taylor and I can go make sandwiches," Harry says and Jess mocks hurt. "Sorry babe but we all know how awfully horrid your cooking is," Harry says, hugging her from the side and placing a kiss to her cheek before snuggling his head full of curls into her neck.
She rolls her eyes, as Harry and I go to the kitchen. I hear Louis instructing the rest of them to find the other materials.

Harry and I start making turkey sandwiches and he cracks some of his jokes, which I give pity laughs to. Once we finish, we pack the food in a basket and meet everyone in the living room.

"Ready?" Niall asks and we all nod. The boys all carry the stuff while us girls carry nothing. We go outside and start walking to a park that is next to Louis' apartment.

Kate, Jess, and I take selfies and we listen to the boys trying to see who is stronger. We roll our eyes and laugh at them.

Some fans ask us to take pictures with them, which we gladly agree to, and finally we make it to the park.

Louis and Harry set out the blankets and we sit down on them and start to eat our food. I snuggle up against Louis and see Kate snuggling into Niall, as Jess and Harry throw grapes at each other.

So romantic.

We finish our picnic and start to play a game of tag, before we pack up. The sun is starting to set and we walk back down the streets of LA to Louis' apartment.

I've learned to ignore the paparazzi that follow, because there really isn't nothing you can do. They want pictures and gossip and you just have to live your life the way that you normally do. If they want to go and make up rumors, than that's on them, but our true fans and friends will know the truth.

We get back to Louis' apartment and we play some music as the boys have a few beers and they watch more football, while the girls and I sat and talked.

Harry, Jess, Kate, and Niall are on their way back to their homes at around midnight and Louis and I snuggle up together in his bed.
I relish in the moment, because this is our first night together since I've moved in.

This is the first time sharing our bed.

And I guess that's a pretty big milestone.
