Hours later, the Quinjet that Clint had been piloting finally landed, as the Avengers trailed out of the Quinjet in a line heading towards a Barn and Farmhouse.

"What is this place?" Thor asked.

"A safe house?" Tony replied from beside Keira, an arm still wrapped around her shoulders.

"Let's hope," Clint replied, opening the door, letting the rest of the crew into a living room. "Honey? I'm home."

A pregnant woman who Keira immediately assumed was Clint's wife, walked around the corner, clearly not expecting so many people to be gathered in her living room.

"Hi," Clint awkwardly greeted.  "Company. Sorry, didn't call ahead."

"Hey," Clint's wife whispered back to him, glad to have an opportunity to see him again.

"This is an agent of some kind," Tony said, turning to the rest of the people in the room.

"Gentleman, Ross, Flappy Bird." Clint addressed the boys, Aquila and Keira. "This is Laura."

"I. . . know all your names," Laura replied just as awkwardly, waving slightly.

Keira looked up as two young children ran into the room, heading straight towards their father.

"Ooh, incoming." Clint joked.

"Dad!"

"Hi, sweetheart!" Clint said, picking up both of his children in both arms.  "Hey, Buddy! How are you guys doing?"

"These, are smaller agents?" Tony commented, but Aquila quickly shook her head to stop him.

"Look at your face! Oh, my goodness!" Clint teased.

"Did you bring Auntie Nat?" The little girl asked.

Many of the Avengers were still dealing with the after-effects of the mind tricks that had been bestowed upon them and Natasha had seemed to be in a kind of trance that was quickly lifted after hearing the little girl's question.

"Why don't you hug her and find out?"

"Sorry for barging in on you." Steve apologized, forever as usual polite.

"Yeah, we would've called ahead, but we were busy having no idea that you existed." Tony crossed his arms.

"Leave it be, Tony." Keira scolded, smacking his arm.

Really, Tony?" Aquila scolded him as well.

"Oh, I'm sorry, Tequila." Tony teased, using her old nickname just trying to get a reaction out of her.

"Yeah, well," Clint said wrapping an arm around Laura. "Fury helped me set this up when I joined. He kept it off S. H. I. E. L. D.'s files. I'd like to keep it that way. I figure it's a good place to lay low."

Keira stood with Aquila and the rest of the boys as Natasha walked over to greet Laura.

"How's little Natasha, huh?" Natasha asked, placing her hands on the pregnant bump.

"She's. . ." Laura trailed off, grimacing. "Nathaniel. . ."

They all watched as the smile fell off Natasha's face before she bent down towards the bump on Laura's stomach.

"Traitor."

Keira sat on the porch with a book propped open on her lap, glancing up every now and then at Steve and Tony who were chopping wood.

It was the first chance she had to relax in the last few days, and although she knew that they wouldn't be staying there long, it was an opportunity not to be missed.

However, it was quickly interrupted when Laura walked up to her. Keira quickly placed the bookmark back into her book before setting it down beside her.

"Um, Keira. Tony is trying to start our tractor in the barn, I think he is having some struggles, maybe you could help?"

"Um. . ." Keira trailed off, slightly confused by the situation. "Yeah, sure."

"Thanks," Laura said, pulling her into a hug.

Keira pulled open the door to the barn still perplexed by the whole situation. But her eyes widened considerably once she saw Tony and Nick Fury, standing in the barn, both turning to look at her.

"Hey?" Keira called awkwardly into the silence. "What's going on?"

"Um. . .just come here, Keira." Tony said.

"Okay?" Keira walked over, only for Tony to pull her into his side.

"I don't exactly know how to word this, Keira but your mother has suddenly died."

"What?" Keira asked, tears already prickling at her vision. "What do you mean?"

"Your mother was found at your old home, dead. We don't exactly know the cause for her death at the moment but once we do we will let you know."

Keira stood there in shock, ignoring Tony's attempts to calm her as her breathing only got more rapid. Random thoughts were running through her head endlessly but there was only one thought that Keira could really make out.

"What happened to Bea? Where is she?" Keira shouted at the S. H. I. E. L. D. director.

"She is currently in the house with the Barton's. I'll get Clint to bring her down."

"Ok." Keira trailed off but Fury only continued.

"Keira, I know this is a hard time to really accept this sudden turn of events, but you do realize that this leaves you as the legal guardian of Bea."

"I understand," Keira said, just as the Barn door opened again.

Keira's breath was taken away when she saw the sight of her sister, tear-tracks staining her face. She quickly ran over to her sister, pulling her into a tight hug, relief filling her.

"Are you alright?" Keira asked her sister in concern. "Are you hurt?"

"I'll be fine. . . . eventually," Bea replied, her voice cracking.

"It will be okay," Keira said to Bea, trying to be reassuring. "We will work this out together, yeah?"

"Yeah," Bea replied before turning to where Tony stood behind them. "Hi, Tony," Bea said, no emotion left in her voice.

"Hey, Kid," Tony replied, watching the two sisters in pain, knowing there was absolutely nothing he could do.
