Zach's POV:

Brian and I developed a new routine since that day.

We met at school fifteen minutes before class,

We made out at the restroom till the first period,

If we shared a class together, he was obviously sitting next to me,

And same at lunch (Matthew was still sitting next to us like a psychopath),

And everyday Olivia or Fred were driving me home after school,

And he shared the ride with me,

And we were making out some more in the car (*insert gagging Fred here*) and then I'd return home.

But it was working, and we were happy.

Also, after 8 days, 7 hours, and 38 minutes of not talking to my parents, I basically won.

"ok, you won," my mom said as I entered home.

I looked at her confused and handed her my phone.

In the past 8 days, the only communication we had was by the eyes. I didn't say a single word to them. Not 'good morning' or 'goodnight', not even a 'hello' or 'I'm home'.

And after 8 long days, my mom had enough.

"You won" she repeated herself.

I sighed. What does that even mean, what does she want?

"You can have your phone back, and the computer, and the TV, but in one condition," she said.

I rolled my eyes.

And what condition would that be?

Mom sighed.

"The condition is that you must talk to me and your father again. with real words, Zach"

I sighed.

"Whatever," I said and grabbed my phone back.

My mom instantly smiled.

"I missed you," mom said as she followed me to my room.

"I miss Brian," I said in response.
