Chapter Fourteen

“I called this meeting for two reasons, one to talk about the DOD and two to introduce you to our new informant. This is Louis and he will be our way inside the DOD,” I said standing up in front of my crew. I called a meeting to discuss the DOD gang; they needed to be handled and quick. I already didn’t like that Kameron dude since the day he stepped into my house talking shit and as far as Ariel’s brother goes if he wants to get involved then I guess I gotta take him out too. I know it’s gonna be hard to explain to Ariel that I had her brother killed but at the end of the day it’s my life or his…and I choose mine. “So how we know we can trust this nigga,” a member of the crew asked.

“You can trust him cause I said you could. He a good dude I checked him out to the fullest,” I said putting my shoulder around Louis. “Now if you don’t mind I would like to get down to business.”

“Okay so the DOD just going to let this Louis guy in? You know Kameron ain’t the most trusting nigga, so why would he just let some unknown stranger in his gang. Hell if he wasn’t with you, we probably wouldn’t have accepted him.”

“I’ve taken care of everything that needs to be taken care of to make sure he is accepted in.”

“Ok and what exactly is job,” another member asked. “They aren’t gonna just let him in on the big boy stuff like who they attacking, I mean he a newbie. The most he can do that is tell us what corners they selling and shit like that which we already know. Besides he don’t even look like he could even handle his self if the time ever came.” I had to admit Louis was pretty slim and not that intimidating. But the one thing I admired about Louis was even though he didn’t look it he would destroy you within a minute. He was hot tempered and crazy. I met him when I went down to be with my dad and instantly he taught me how to survive on the streets. I knew he was the guy that could get me my information just based off what I already knew about him.

“Look I don’t look like much but don’t let my looks deceive you. I have earned my ranks and trust me I will get the job done. The only reason I am here is for my boy Ant, so believe me I will get the job done. Now you can either trust me or doubt me either way you don’t have many options when it comes to this gang,” Louis stepped up and said.

“Ok then, anymore questions about whether or not we should trust Louis or can we get back to business.” I looked around at everyone to see if they would say something but nobody did. “That’s what I thought, now Skipper, Lance, and Jazz you three will be in charge of surveillance. I want to know their every damn move. Ziggy, Chris, and KJ ya’ll will be in charge weapons. I want the best weapons for this job. Do whatever you have to do to get them. And while ya’ll are doing that me and Trigger gonna be doing the icing on the cake. We only got two weeks for this to happen make it worthwhile and don’t fuckin screw up.” With that I ended the meeting. Once everyone had left it was just me and Louis. “So Lou wat the hell you been up to man. I haven’t seen yo skinny ass in a year now,” I said sitting down in my chair. He followed suit and sat down too, “Man I just been around doing jobs here and there. Just trying to make money, you know. Been moving around so much can’t even think straight.”

“I understand man, but at some point in life you gotta stop moving and settle down.”

“I hear ya but it ain’t that easy, every time I try to settle down some shit happens and I end up leaving.”

“Look how about this you can stay at my house until you have to go on the job. The only person you gotta worry about is my girl, but she cool.”

“Wait did you just say girl? I know little Ant ain’t cuffed no chick. Nigga you couldn’t even talk to a girl without getting nervous, now you telling me you got a girl.”
