Percy and Annabeth were in a quest together. Quite rare, actually. Usually there are three people on a quest. But not this time. They were in the middle of the Amazon, cutting through the leaves and vines, keeping an eye out for monsters. They were on a quest to kill a monster. There was one in the middle of the Amazon who was luring demigods in and killing them. The last three demigods who were sent on this quest were all killed.
They pushed themselves through the trees, tired and sleep deprived. Looking for a good place to stay for the night, they scanned their surroundings. Percy pushed through some bushes and wandered off a little deeper into the forest. Not too far, though. They were still recovering from their trip to Tartarus. Although, the nightmares we're not as bad when they were together and they were comparatively stronger when they were together, Chiron still hesitated to send them off on the quest. Percy pushed through the leaves, revealing a mansion the size of Half-Blood Hill. And Half-Blood Hill isn't small.
"Hey, wise girl, would you look at the size of this mansion! How did it even get here?" Percy said.
"Woah," Annabeth said as she entered," Let's go inside and see whether we can stay for a.few nights before we continue our monster hunt."They both enter the mansion, to be greeted by a creepy old man who eyed them like they were food. He had a limp and one eye was covered with an eye patch. Kinda like Nick Fury, but way less cooler. He also smelled weird. Like stale milk.
"Hi, I'm Annabeth and this is Percy. We were going on hike together, but we got lost. We were hoping you'd let us stay for a few nights?" Annabeth said.
"Sure, why not? You can stay for how much ever time you want," the old man said in a sickly sweet and rather smug voice," I'm Kynicilles. You can go up to one of the bedrooms. Upstairs, third door on the left. Dinner will be done in a few hours."
"Thanks." Percy said. They headed up to the bedroom. They closed the door and collapsed on the bed.
"I don't trust him. It's not possible to have a mansion in the middle of the Amazon. Plus, he was looking at us like we're meat," Annabeth said, "We have to be careful. We're looking for a monster. It could be him in disguise. You remember Dr. Thorn? That was nasty."
"Yeah, I thought I had lost you. But come on, how bad can he be? Besides, I'm hungry and he's giving us food and shelter. Even if he is the monster, I'm pretty sure we can take him." Percy said.
"You're always hungry, seaweed brain," Annabeth chuckled, "Now I'm tired, so let's take a quick nap."***
For dinner, Kynicilles made pasta. Now, as we all know, it's not possible to hate pasta. And Annabeth and Percy didn't have proper food for a long time. So, you cannot judge them for what they next. They shoved the pasta down their mouth and fast as possible and they were done with their food in five minutes, flat. They thanked Kynicilles for the dinner, when he laughed like there was no tommorow. "You're going to die," he said. "Say goodbye!"They tried to get up but as soon as they did they fell down. Their balance was off and they couldn't walk or stand upright. Percy and Annabeth looked at each other. They knew they were in deep trouble. But they weren't going down without a fight.
Annabeth charged towards the monster with her sword. Well, she tried to. With her balance lost, she looked more like a baby who was determined to walk but couldn't. By the time she reached the monster, the monster had turned into it's original form. It was hideous beast (obviously, which beast isn't hideous?), with huge fangs, a large spear in it's hand and a huge horn on it's head. Annabeth tried to stab it and actually managed to dent it when the monster slashed her skin open. Percy, who was struggling to stay upright, finally charged at the monster. Annabeth and Percy ducked, parried and jabbed as much as they could with them stumbling around trying to stand still and continue fighting. Annabeth finally managed to stab the monster and kill. They watched Kynicellius disintegrate into gold dust. But he got both Percy in the stomach and Annabeth in the thigh and stomach. Both of them knew this was it. They were going to die. They lay down on the floor and held hands.
"Well, dam! I really thought we would live till, at least, 30," Percy joked.
Annabeth laughed," That is definitely my seaweed brain talking. You're the only one who can make even a serious situation a joke. Except Leo. No one can beat Leo."
"I'm wounded, wise girl. You don't even show a little mercy when we're about to die." Percy said, putting a hand over his heart. Annabeth laughs and winces. Percy pulls her closer. They lay cuddling there and finally kiss for the last time ever."I love you, Annabeth Chase," Percy said.
"I love you, Percy Jackson," Annabeth said. And just like that, they took their last breath ever.
Sorry for killing them off. But they'll end up in Elysium together and stay dead happily ever after. Well, until they get reborn.
Anyway, Comment please.
