I have always wondered what my room would look like when I got here and it has been the complete opposite to what I imagined. I imagined it would be bigger than this.

My room has a two single beds at opposite sides of the room from each other. There are two desks opposite each other with walk in closets next to them. One window stands in the middle, making the room seem more bright and spacious than it actually is.

I set down my large cardboard box on the bed and start unpacking my belongings. I glance at the other bed. You know I am terrified about who my roommate is going to be. Think about it, imagine having to live with a complete stranger for at least a year. Who knows who it could be? I could end up with Saffron Hollow's upcoming serial killer.

'This is the last of your stuff!' The familiar voice of my bubbly older sister Louise bashing through the door like a torpedo.

'You do not need to be that loud. There are other people in this building too.' I laugh at her as she puts down two cardboard boxes.

'Come here.' Louise opens her arms and I move towards her so she can envelop me in a warm hug. 'I am going to miss you at home.'

'I know but this is right. This is what I want to do and I have to grab it with both hands.'

'That doesn't mean I have to be happy about it.'

'You can call me every day if you want' Louise pulls out of the hug, our matching faded blonde hair pulling away from each other.

Suddenly, a glamorous woman swiftly walks into the room and sits forcefully on the other bed with her phone in front of her almost touching her face. Her shiny brown hair cascades down to the waist of her silver jumpsuit.

My sister winks at me before leaving the room. The young woman taps furiously at her phone until she notices me staring at her.

'My name is Samantha Firefly but I am guessing you already knew that. I'm your roommate for this year' Her voice is smooth like butter spreading on bread. 'What's your name?'

'My...name is Evelyn Cartwright' I stutter and she gives me a look of confusion. Damn it! That was not the introduction I wanted. 'And I didn't know who you are when you walked in.'

A tall muscular boy walks in carrying two cardboard boxes. His hair is cleanly cut and styled; shiny like Samantha's except more of a dirty blonde. His pale face has just the perfect amount of freckles to compliment his doe shaped hazel eyes.

'Sam, I have told you that you can't assume everyone knows who you are.' The boy's voice is husky and slightly deeper than I was expecting. He puts the boxes down on the floor and for some reason, my heart seems to beating quicker.

' I'm Matthew, Sam's older brother.'
