'What brings you to Saffron Hollow then Evie?' Matthew asks as he glides me across the dance floor. I look at his glistening eyes and sigh. 'I am here to study English and Dance.Also my name is Evelyn by the way.'
'I like Evie better. Why is that such a bad thing?'
'Which?' I look at him perplexed at his remark.
'You sighed at your chosen subjects. Why?'
'It's just that everyone thinks that they know who I am like I am just some pretty girl who enjoys dance. Like those pretty cheerleaders you always see in movies.'
'Then what are you Evie?' I look down at his chiseled chest and look back up.
'The truth is I don't know yet and that's why I am here.' I feel a tear fall down my face and Matthew pulls me closer to him in a hug. I can feel his heartbeat beneath me which makes me smile.
After a few seconds, he pushes me away from him and looks around the room. 'I better get going.I'll see you around Evie,' Matthew walks away and I wipe the tear from my face. I wonder what that was all about. There are so many questions racing through my brain right now. Why did he just leave like that? That was incredibly rude. Why be such a kind person and then just bail? Maybe he is trying to keep his bad boy reputation up or something.
Sam approaches me, alone this time,I wonder where Lyndon has gone. 'I'm going if you want to come,' she exclaims at me.
'Yeah alright then.' I respond. What a confusing night.
