We arrive at this golden manor and Ed Sheeran is blasting. All of the party goers are either in a black tuxedo or dressed in all gold.  Samantha takes out her phone and starts filming the entrance so I quickly do the same before putting it back in Sam's bag. The entrance has a large archway of fairy lights above us as we go inside.

Sam drags me through the crowd of gold to see a lanky dark haired guy wearing a metallic golden suit. She kisses him therefore I am guessing they are together. 'Didn't you read the invitation properly? It said ladies in gold and gentlemen in black tie.' She laughs and kisses him again. 'Oh, this is my new roommate Evelyn. Evelyn this is Lyndon.' Lyndon nods his head and slides his hand around Sam's waist.

A slow song comes on the speakers and couples start forming. Lyndon pulls Sam away to dance together so I make my way towards a visible table of glasses which I think are filled with champagne. I take one of them and start sipping it. You know when I usually drink alcohol, it tastes awful but this tastes decent and expensive.

'Can I have this dance?' Matthew appears beside me, wearing a tuxedo but with a gold leather jacket on. 'Why?' I laugh at him in confusion. I mean he does look more like a gentleman than he did this morning. Still not quite there though. 'Because you don't have any friends here yet.' True but that was a bit harsh. 'That's a bit rude'. He bites his lip, almost seductively. He holds out his hand and I shake my head but I take it anyway.

Matthew pulls me gently onto the dance floor, my senses notice how close to me he is. I can feel his hand around my waist and the other hand touching mine. 'By the way, I would class your sister as a friend here actually.' I find myself saying.

'You don't know anything about my sister Evie.' He whispers in my ear. That was odd but surprisingly accurate.
