The class is over and we have our first assignment : write a description of home. Like what makes you feel at home or something. I haven't figured it out yet but we have a month to complete it. I pack up my things and go to head out of the lecture theatre when a hand grabs my arm.
'Come with me.' I turn around to see Matthew holding me, it's almost like an electric shock has gone through my arm but more positive. It is incredibly hard to explain because I have no idea what it is. 'Sorry what?' I find myself saying.
'Come with me. I want to show you something.' He lets go of my arm and gives me an earnest smile. How does someone even do that? What the hell? He holds out his arm for me to take. I look at him and then his arm. I take his arm and remark 'this better be good.'
'I didn't know you took English.' I say as we walk through the artificial green grounds of the school. 'Well you never asked.' He says and I stop in my tracks immediately.
'If you don't stop with that arrogant attitude, I am going to walk away right now.' I fiercely say and he looks at me, bemused. 'Fine I'll try and stop.' We continue walking out of the school's gates and onto the street. 'By the way, that is some dress.' he laughs and I join in.
'Shut up, it was the first thing I saw and I was going to be late.' I playfully shove him and he lightly shoves me back. This goes on for a while until we get to a building that looks straight out of that film Grease. 'Welcome to Dana's Diner Evie.'
